Georgia-ReBORN is feature rich foobar2000 theme developed and based on Mordred's original Georgia.
It's purpose is to be used mainly as a desktop version, the layout has been modified to look clean and simple
without any distractions. The cover artwork and playlist are the main focus. Besides the 11 existing themes
Georgia-ReBORN has to offer ( Options > Theme ) there is one special theme "Reborn". Based on Mordred's
awesome dynamic color change feature, this theme will completely change it's appearance based on album art,
this means there are unlimited possibilities how the player will look like. Every new album you play will be
a new experience! You can also create custom themes and share them with the community. For more information
go to Options > Theme > Custom > Edit custom theme and click on the Options > Info.

If you want to change the active theme's default look, you can activate different styles ( Options > Style ).
Each column in the context menu can have one activated style, this means you can combine styles altogether.
It should be noted that some active themes have more or less and also different styles available,
you can spend hours in experimenting and achieving some pretty cool results. There are also predefined
theme presets ( Options > Preset ) for each theme with a total of 88 different ones. For quick access,
try clicking on the lower bar to pick a random theme preset. A pretty cool feature is the preset harmonic
select mode ( Options > Preset > Select mode ) which will automatically adjust and pick a harmonic preset
based on current playing album art.

WilB's awesome library and biography script has been integrated and modified to fit the overall design.
You can choose the top menu > Options > Library to change various library options. Besides the 8 existing
built-in designs, the library has its own default Georgia-ReBORN design. The classical tree view can be changed
swiftly by right clicking for the context menu and choose "Show album art". You can switch back to the default
tree view by right click and choose "Tree view".

When album art is active, new options are now available in Options > Library > Album art.
The layout feature is not available for "List view + album covers/artist photos" and "Flow mode".
For convenience, when album art is active, you can easily change the layout by right clicking and choose:
Change layout to full width or Change layout to normal width depending on the current state.
Another cool feature is the dynamic thumbnail resizing, thumbnail size will change dynamically according
to the foobar player size.

If you want to display artist photos in the library, you need to link your path to your biography directory.
Go to File > Preferences > Display and under Album art click on the Artist tab. Here you need to set
your full path, e.g: E:\foobar2000\profile\cache\biography\biography-cache\art_img\$cut(%artist%,1)\%artist%\*
If you now fetch the images from the biography, it will automatically update your library with the photos.
You can easily switch the view from albums to artists. If album art or flow mode is active, right click
in the library > Show artists, to go back to default view open again the context menu and choose Show albums.

In the biography you can change options via top menu Options > Biography or you can use the context menu.
There are 4 different biography layouts to choose from, top is the default. There is also an automatic lyric fetcher.
Synced lyrics will be highlighted with a theme color, unsynced lyrics have the default white text color.

Georgia-ReBORN supports 4K resolutions and will adjust theme elements based on DPI and screen size.
Fullscreen mode is also supported! There are predefined sizes ( Options > Player size ) and each layout
has 3 different sizes. You can of course resize foobar to your liking, but it has minimum size restrictions
to prevent button and text overlapping. There are 3 different layouts to choose from ( Options > Layout ).

NOTE: Georgia-ReBORN starts in player size 'Small' as a failsafe player size for small res. monitor/laptop screens
and looks best if you switch to 'Normal' or a larger player size!

Image Packs

These image packs are optional, they contain record labels and artist logos which will be displayed in 'Details'.
Download Record Labels plus Download Artist Logos. Extract them to foobar2000\profile\georgia-reborn\images

between 13 self created placeholders: Options > Details > Disc art > Display disc art placeholder

Installation Instructions

Compatible only with foobar 32-bit until remaining components will be updated to 64-bit!

1. Install foobar2000 as portable from the Official Website.

2. Download the Georgia-ReBORN theme from this Github Page.

3. Extract the profile folder from the zip into foobar's root folder.

4. Install all located fonts from your foobar2000\profile\georgia-reborn\fonts folder.

5. Start foobar and enjoy.

For standard non-portable installation:

Install foobar2000 as a standard installation, start and close foobar.
Extract the content ( biography, configuration, georgia-reborn, library and user-components ) from the profile folder of the zip into the root folder of: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000

Install all located fonts from C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\georgia-reborn\fonts.
The optional image packs need to be extracted in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\georgia-reborn\images.

Playlist Manager

Why not remake the playlist manager? I think the function of the current playlist manager is too simple, if you can be modified like Br3tt's JS Smooth Playlist Manager. It will be more convenient to use! This is just a suggestion! tks!

Couple of minor bugs

hey TT, now that i've switched to Georgia-ReBORN for good, i hope you won't mind me reporting the occasional bugs i come across 😁

1. When you start playing new items from the Library view, and then switch to Playlist view (by clicking either Library again or Biography), the playlist is correctly updated with the new tracks. however, if you click Lyrics panel, then the old playlist still remains instead.

2. When changing the scroll speed in Panel settings (the defaults seem to be reaally slow, perhaps you can consider updating them, i'm currently using 10 step and 200 ms duration), the new settings are applied to Library view but NOT Playlist view.

and if it needed to be said.. you took what is already an amazing theme by Mordred and made it even better than anyone can imagine, so you both have my utmost appreciation for that. now i can finally retire my DarkOne themes which i've used for a total of about 10 years at this point.. RIP Tedgo

Playlist view "Rows" change order of metadata shown

main issue

Currently the rows show like this:
[Artist Name] - [Album Title] - [Track Title]

I want to be able to change it to my liking. for example:
[Track Title] - [Artist Name]

for that, I think a syntax based option may come in handy. users can just copy paste variables and organize in their way. for example:
[%title%] - [%artist%]
etc.

Problem with cover

Hello
I have an issue with showing cover in details section.
When next to my songs files there is a picture, foobar shows that picture in details section instead of showing front cover?
How can I fix it?

Scrollbar visibility is reset when using filters in Library view

In the playlist view, right click > Appearance > Show scrollbar. Open Library view and use the dropdown filter to select any option. Return to playlist view by deselecting the Library button at the top, and the playlist scrollbar visibility has been reset and is now hidden.

Lyric issue

It can display the whole lyrics with white color, but the color of the lyric is singing is not yellow, it's hard to know which sentence is singing.

Theme keeps crashing. Not sure what to do anymore

Hi.

I had been using an old version of georgia reborn (at least 1 year old release) and it was working fine until something changed and I started getting random crashes. They mostly happen after foobar2k is open and I double click on a track in a different folder (i don't like navigating my library within the program, I go folder to folder).

I updated to the latest version and it was fine for a while...until I recently started getting a new (or perhaps the same) issue. I don't know what is going on. I've uninstalled an reinstalled foobar2k and it seems to go away until I reboot and then the issue happens non-stop. The only thing I change after a reinstall is adding keyboard shortcuts for skip ahead 5, 10 and 30 secs and another for back in the same intervals. And changing the default media location.

What does it mean?

It keeps using the wrong album art

All my music files are all properly tagged and have its own album art. For some reason the player keep using one random image on my computer.

Playlist jumps around when trying to double-click on a track to play it

When a track is playing, if I click once on a nearby track, the playlist jumps so that the newly-selected track is centred in the playlist. Is that intentional?

Confirmed that I can reproduce this if I restart foobar2000. I tried to check my settings to see if this is a setting somewhere, but I couldn't see anything.

16 px font size on lower bar looks bad

Resizing to 20 px and up produces no problems.

Should the button size also be changing when switching font size? I thought this was controlled separately by Player controls > Transport button size/spacing?

Georgia-ReBORN 64 Bit Compatibility

All user-components Georgia-ReBORN is using need to be compiled in x64,
otherwise you can not install the latest fb2k v2 x64, but you can use the fb2k v2 x86 version instead.

The current state ( 14.02.2023 ) is as follows:

• Playing an album from Library view
• Right clicked on Library panel to get context menu

Changing the volume bar does not line up with cursor when clicking

Clicking on higher values in the volume bar generally lines up with the position of the cursor, but clicking on lower values do not.

Playlist manager in playlist view displays a lock icon that falls off the window

In playlist view, right-click > Appearance > Show playlist manager. The playlist manager displays a small lock icon that is partially cut off by the edge of the screen.

Exif data on images and other optimizations

Have found multiple images at 'georgia-reborn\images' with unnecessary exif data.
Also some of them could be losslessly compressed using Caesium. (the difference is almost none though)

Clickable Rating column

Hi, the theme is awesome!!!

I regularly rate my songs.
I used to use iTunes years back, then I started using foobar2000, and was using SimPlaylist. both iTunes and f2k SimPlaylist allowed me to rate my files.

1. I click on the Rating column to set rating
2. I have autoplaylists which are for certain rated songs...

When I rate a song, it uses Metadata in the file for storing the rating value. So, whereever I go, I get my ratings.

Now, i want to

1. use that metadata to display ratings in the column of Georgia-ReBORN
2. click directly on the column to set Rating of a song, which will write in the same column

How to do it??

Error in compact mode

The fact is that when you press a key in it looks for
the first letter of the artist and the program crashes because of this, given that it found the artist with the first letter. and this is only a problem in compact mode. (Sorry for my English)

Playlist text sometimes kerned, sometimes not

I don't know if I should bring this up with you, The Qwertiest, or elsewhere, but the image I have is from your theme. I've noticed it too in my own theme where I'm trying to use the CaTRoX playlist viewer. Both of those are in the current beta of foobar2000 v2 with Windows 10.

I've noticed that the text of my track titles doesn't always line up as I expect it to. This is apparent in Classical albums where a sequence of many tracks all start with the same text. For instance, tracks 30–6 in the image below all belong to the same piece, but numbers 34 and 35 look slightly out of alignment when seeing how the text lines up with the rest. The "D Major" looks a bit outdented.

Looking more closely, the variation seems to be in, well, the word "Variation". In most of the tracks, the "V" and "a" don't appear to be kerned, but in #34–5, they are.

I've looked at this album in a different foobar2000 installation that uses the default CUI playlist viewer, and they all line up there. So this doesn't seem to be an issue with the tracks themselves.

Scrobbling

Hey. Is scrobbling not supported in this ? I've also tried using a scrobbling component I downloaded but it didn't work. After I set up my username and everything in the window and I exit, it just resets everything back

Ok, as said, it was easy. Now I have 2 questions, don't want to investigate all files until I get it right spending hours (for me learning the internals, and then you testing it).

1. How to force the panel to use new settings? After editing "metagrid" variable, the panel gets updated some seconds later, so I used a callback.

Doesn't seem to work with Foobar2000 v2.0

I installed the latest version of Foobar200 v2.0 (stable release 64 bit) on Widows 10

It's not portable installation, so I extracted the content of the profile directory into %AppData%\foobar2000-v2
I opened the program but I wasn't prompted by any message.
This theme is not compatible with v2.0 it seems. Am I right?
And if it is not compatible, Do you have any plans to make it compatible with v2.0?

Georgia-ReBORN Wine Bugs on Linux

Works on Windows but with Wine there are following bugs:

- Drag and drop music files to Playlist is not working. See reported Wine bug here.
Wait until @TheQwertiest does fix dnd bug since SMP 1.6.0 to apply Wine workaround, see here.
( Drag and drop works in the window if you use Files -> Add files/folder ).
NEW: since Beta 11, drag n drop is fully operational, you need to downgrade and use Spider Monkey Panel v1.5.2:

The playlist drag and drop issue has been fixed by Wine devs since Wine 8.
There is no more need to downgrade to Spider Monkey Panel v1.5.2, just use the existing SMP in the theme.

• If you use display auto-detect or going in and out of fullscreen and then drag and drop the player around,
  it will freeze foobar. You can CTRL + ALT + DEL and hit ESC and then restart foobar.
  ( This is due to the active default option "Allow the window manager to control the windows" in the Graphics tab
  in the Wine config. This option can be disabled, but foobar will be always on top of everything even if it's not active ).

• Native Library/Biography options menu and Library/Biography right click search context menu is disabled
  due to incompatibility. Please use top menu Options > Library/Biography menu instead.

Library album art does not display

I believe this was functional in the previous versions (2.xx) under the same circumstances.

Most album art seems to work; I have a variety of mostly jpg & png between 100kb to 20 MB.
I have album art Folder.png in the same network folder that contains an album, but the image does not display in either of the album art panel, nor on the album thumbnail preview in Details view

Could this be due to the the specifics of this image file? I could look for more examples in my music library where this occurs

Any way to change the default theme in "Reborn" preset to a more friendly dark mode if no cover image is found?

Hello.

Currently if you choose the theme "Reborn" it will adapt based on the artwork colors and I really like that behavior. It's one of the main reasons I use this theme after all. However, sometimes tracks don't have artwork embedded or it doesn't get properly embedded when in the folder. This causes the theme to default to a white/greyish theme which blinds me at night whenever this happens.

Could it be possible to change the default theme when no artwork found to a different more dark-mode friendly theme (such as the "dark blue" preset)?

Unrelated to that, I've been having issues to update the artwork tags in tracks but I think that's a foobar2k bug and not Georgia related (foobar freezes completely and I gotta force close it on task manager). The issue above is becoming more annoying as I usually fixed it by quickly updating the properties of the track tags within foobar and now that seems to be broken (I need to look up a different app to update tags in my files or solve whatever is freezing foobar2k when changing artwork)

Option to display lyrics while moving to other menus

In the origin Georgia theme, you could keep the lyrics visible whilst going through the other menus.

Track elapsed/remaining time not displaying properly

Not sure if this was addressed anywhere else but I cant get the track time to display properly. It's drawing in with the track info above the seek bar super weirdly. Using foobar 2.0 32 bit, tried to change display and layout but it persists. I'm a huge pleb for this kinda stuff so it may be user error. Might not even be a bug (sorry)! Any help would be appreciated!

Lyrics are not shown for a reason I can't figure out

There is:
Multi source lyrics
OpenLyrics (there's a big update on this so I installed it but It didn't change, It would be good if in the Master it was checked that all It's up to date)
Lyric Show Panel
I can't trace which one causes this.
Maybe It's the Id3 tag of the song, but I try but it isn't

Randomize Playlist button does not work

If I click on the Randomize Playlist button in the playbar, my playlist view scrolls to the top automatically and playback remains in the default state.

Switching back from 4K mode does not reset library font size

To reproduce:

1. Start the player in the "Small" size
2. Change the player to "Large" size
3. Set "Use 4K mode" to "Always"
4. Set "Use 4K mode" to "Auto-detect"
5. Change player back to "Small" size

The result is this:

Using Library settings > Reset library zoom doesn't appear to change the font size other than by a size or two. I need to then use Change font sizes > Library > Default.

Instantly crashes upon launch

Hello.
This error happened yesterday out of the blue. It happened on first boot of the day and I've been running Georgia-Reborn for over a year now, maybe. No changes in settings whatsoever, didn't update foobar2k.

Auto detect for screen size is bugged

takes 95% of the screen seems to think i have a 4k monitor but I have a 2K

Gap problem on windows

I've been trying to use this theme for the past 1 year or so, and everytime i try this gap between the album art and the left side of the screen always trows me back to another theme, the Option -> Player controls -> Album art settings -> When player size is not proportional option doesn't seens to do anything

Scrollbar and playlist positioning is not equal

Apologies if this isn't a bug but instead a design choice! I noticed that there's some weird spacing going on with how the scroll bar is rendered in the playlist view, as well as where the playlist stops being rendered at the bottom.

Distance A (at the bottom) is unexpected - is the playlist meant to be rendered all the way to the edge of the whitespace that it sits in? I would suggest extending it to the edge.
Distance B and C should be extended to the vertical start and stop of the rendering area for the playlist.

does it support hdpi? font size looks so much different when i move between screens

my laptop is 14-inch with a 27-inch monitor
it looks so fine when both in all-screen mode，but not when moving between screens
is there anyway to solve it (maybe by settings that i haven't noticed?)

but i am experiencing something that seems a graphic glitch in the playlist panel.

Red screen error opening foobar2000 after installing on Windows

I'm somewhat a novice at installing themes, but I CAN follow directions. After extracting/installing into the instructed folders, when I attempt to open foobar for the first time, it gives a script error as attached below. If I tell it to continue, I then come to a red screen that says "Aw, crashed" with the 2nd error attached below I'd love to get this theme working, or barring that, back to what I had before (or a default theme). Thanks for any help
