gateway-remote-config's Issues

json file

How do I create a json file here?

It seems not to connect

I have a raspi + ic880a (SPI) gateway (4 of them) , running a rasbian lite (jessie). I have also created a json for each of them and created them in the repository. I have created an interface board, that actually only contains the connectors for raspberry pi and the iC880a. It is derived from the ch2i-board (I have removed the powersupply and connector and the RFM95, also connected the gps serial to the ic880a and that's it.

I have followed the instructions, which I have found in the repository. I think, the power supply is ok (I don't see any low power symbol in the raspberry pi monitor top/right).

I have used the remote configuration option, when installing the repository.

The gateways (all four of them) are registered at console.thethingsnetwork.org with their EUIs

To check, if there is anything working, I have used this command:
sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog

This is, what I get:

How can I delete a EUI registered twice by mistake?

Hello @gonzalocasas,

I have had several problems with my gateway made with Raspberry Pi B+ and IC880a. I have followed all the steps but have had problems with communications, even though my JSON is registered correctly with the ttn server (B827EBFFFE130DC8.json).

I thought that the problem was related to the SPI connection, but I checked that it was enabled through "sudo raspi-config". Then I thought that maybe my reset-pin (22 in raspberry) was failing but I don't know how to check it. Now, I think all this is working fine, but I am not sure because when I tried to see if the gateway was working I had this: "failed to start the concentrator". The power supply is correct so I don't know the reason.

Due to my desperation, thinking that it would not be properly registered on the server, I made the mistake of registering it by the non-remote procedure. Now when I try to register it on TTN, the server says that the eui (B827EBFFFE130DC8) already exists.

Note: I deleted all my applications and my gateway from my console.

What should I do now? Thanks in advance!

Cant create pull request

Hello.
I have RAK831 and Raspberr Pi 3.
I'm trying to make the RAK831 card work.
I've done all the things that the manufacturer has published. Except for the "pull-request" part.
As mentioned in the documentation, I create a file with a json extension with the EUI ID for my GATEWAY (eg B827EBFFFE6707A2.json).
I fill it in the way it says on the document. But I can not load this project with pull-request.
How can I do it?

How to register my EUI on github

Dear master,

  1. I'd like to know how i can register my EUI on github since I'm not familiar with github.
I've got my EUI code from RPI based on Linux.
and i registered my gateway on THETHINGNETWORK and now its under disconnected.
Also as far as i know, I should register the EUI code on gateway-remote-config.
Could you let me know the way to register?

  2. About Installing the TTN packet forwarder on a RPI with an IMST ic880a board,
I've tried to do while following the manual.

  1. I did download the Raspberry Pi + IMST build on the RPI3.
  2. i couldn't configure the packet forwarder
    ' $ configure ' is not working.

how to change my server adress to my local host

hello i am using ic880a with rasperry pi with ttn now i have created my own udp bridge app server and network server for that i want to change default server_address to router_eu_thethings.network to 127.0.0.1 i have tired changing in local_conf.json under bin and also (mymac).json in gateway-remote-config but none of that worked can you tell where should i change to make it permanent
thanks and regards

Update access rights

In the coming months, the community network of TTN will transition from v2 to v3.
The migration is relatively non-trivial, and it requires an orderly migration of apps followed by gateways. In order to minimize the potential for issues that might arise during the process, we'll change the access rights of @ttn-zh/gateway-owners to be read-only.

This only affects a very small group of people that got write access really early on during the year 2015/2016, after that, all changes have been done via pull requests.
