Automatic conversion of IFC models v2x3 to CityGML LOD3 (but LOD2 and LOD4 are possible too).

Description of what can be done with this code is in the MSc thesis of Sjors Donkers entitled Automatic generation of CityGML LoD3 building models from IFC models.

Code

The code is split in 2 parts:

1. ifc2off: converts the relevant geometries in an IFC file to a set of polygons in an OFF file. Dependencies: IfcOpenShell and OpenCascade.
2. off2cityml: converts the OFF file to a valid LOD3 CityGML file. Dependencies: CGAL

ifc2citygml's Issues

Lacking of file:SurfaceStyle.h

When I compile the source,I couldn't find the file: SurfaceStyle.h,Anyone can ask me where I can get it,I download:IfcOpenShell_CGAL,which doesn't contain it.

Converting .obj file to .citygml

I have installed all the dependencies on ubuntu and successfully converted the .ifc file to .obj .
I need help for converting .obj to .citygml .Thank you!

Codes broken cause of version difference

The codes are broken and doesn't work. I think that we use multiple 3rd party and the version differences causes this problem.
Do you have any updated solution or any other open source project? Maybe someone gently clarify the working versions.

Just found this converter, but it is years old. Most users of IfcOpenShell use version 0.6.

Does anyone uses this converter ATM in 2020?

Is there another possibility to convert ifc to citygml available?

Problem with opening CityGML files

Hello, i have problem with opening CityGML file, downloaded from Geoportal. I tried open it in QGIS, or convert file to GIS type using FME, but without result. Other CityGML files work fine. What's wrong with those files? Below is sample. Thanks

In vs2017 show cannot open the source file "../ifcconvert/CityGMLgrivySerializer.h", and i can't find the file in web or in the ifcconvert file i had dowload. Where should I look for this file？
