arduino-hob2hood's Issues

request for basic wiki page

First of all, Thanks Alex for sharing this peace of code!
I am newbie to arduino and want this to be my first arduino project. Could you maybe create simple wiki page and point out what arduino and what components (IR receiver? relays?) should one buy to make this Hob2Hood controller working? Pretty please.

How to send?

First of all, huge thanks for documenting this!

I personally want to solve the opposite problem: switch off my hood with a "smart home" button.

I am using a Teensy 4.0 and tried sending the codes in all different encodings without success. I also tried the raw dumps from here: https://github.com/JameZUK/hob2hood-RAW-IR-Codes

Can someone shine some light on this? HAs anyone tried this before and can suggest a setup that works?

Dump for all commands

First of all, thank you for sharing your findings.
Second, I am trying right now to make the opposite of your device. My hood is hob2hood compliant, but my burner is not.
I have an IR blaster I previously used with my A/C and tried to send the codes in your project to the hood.
However, nothing happens.

My guess is that either:

  1. the protocol is something custom (I've tried all of them), and just the hash is recorded in your code (likely)
  2. H2H requires some special startup enabling code (unlikely)

Could you please run a raw IR data dumper like this one, and share the results with us?
