twint-zero's Issues

Fail to Scrap data

Hi I would like to scrap twitter data based on keyword but someow on my CLI
image

Is command "since:2023-01-10" working ?

Hey boss ! Thank you for your amazing work

When I use

go run main.go -Query nasa since:2023-01-10

It still gives me tweet from January 09 or random times

Again when I use :

go run main.go -Query nasa within:

go run main.go -Query tezos within_time:1d

I get tweets like made 3 months before or 5 months

If you could bring a fix for that ?

Thank you so much !

as of now this tool doesn't because the bridge between Nitter and Twitter is broken.

I will add details here as time goes by.

* heavy sad noise *

Can i use this tool/project for my research paper project ?

Hello to the developers of this project. Words fail to convey the depth of my gratitude for the radiant joy that spread across my face when this tool scraped the tweets from twitter after trying out so many other tools/projects.

Now, I have following questions:

  1. Will this project/repo be continued/maintained atleast upto today's level in coming days?
  2. Are there any chances of twitter finding out we are using scrapers and blocking this tool or our ip address i.e. in any way can we be found out by twitter side and be terminated of our twitter account or blocked in ip address or terminate this github repo or are there any chances twitter change some frontend and break this tool?
  3. Finally can i use, rely and trust this project on doing out my year long research project where i will be doing topic modeling and sentiment analysis of tweets in nepali language? I mean hopefully this tool works for long.

Once Again.Thank you

[ISSUE] no tweets are being returned

I just tried this tool today after i tried like a week ago. But this time after running go run main.go -Query $QUERY ,it is not returning any output in terminal , just pauses for like 2 seconds then prints nothing.
Screenshot from 2023-07-02 23-14-08

Does this problem have anything to do with what twitter is trying to do like maybe stop scraping ?

Is there a way to export scrape results?

I'm unable to find a way to export the results to a directory path in the form of a file, changing the format only changes how the information is displayed in the terminal. I'd also like to know if this can be modified to allow video and image files to be archived.

Exporting content results into csv

I'm running the command:

go run main.go -Query "Oath Keepers" -Instance nitter.moo moo.me -Format csv

How do I export the results I get?

Getting "status code error: 403 403 Forbidden"

Hello, i'm having a issue since this morning (Spain), and i don't really know what to do.

I want to execute this command:
go run main.go -Query "from:elonmusk since:2023-08-31" -Instance "nitter.net" -Format "csv" > tweets.csv

As you can see, it's nothing too complicated, but when i execute that line, it appears this error:
status code error: 403 403 Forbidden

I've been using this tool for something like a week and i didn't have any issues, i don't know why it happens now.

It's a general error o i'm doing something wrong? Thank you!

Empty output

Hi, it was working perfectly fine yesterday but all queries returned empty output today.

I tried even the simplest query such as: go run main.go -Query "(from:username) since:2023-04-25" and still get an empty output.

Tried on my ubuntu VPS and another Windows 11 machine.

EDIT: Okay I think I found the reason, seems like Twitter restricted search function to only registered users. This affects nitter's search too. See zedeus/nitter#852

Request to update documentation && slight issue that I want to report (nothing too severe)

Request to Update Documentation

I was actually having a lot of problem trying to run this, because I couldn't tell if putting the quotation marks mattered or not.

But I eventually got it to work, and I think it would be nice if we had a small section under "CLI Arguments" just to make this easier for people.

It would be best named something like "Example usage" and it would be nice if you just added the following to the markdown:

Command:
go run main.go -Query "from:Technothepig" -Instance "nitter.net" -Format "csv" > tweets.csv

What it does:

Slight issue that I found:

So instances of nitter have this feature where they replace all reddit links to teddit.net, and all youtube links to piped.video links:
스크린샷 2023-08-20 오후 9 12 18

While this is a good feature, I don't really want this to appear in the posts that I'm downloading, and there doesn't seem to be any way to disable this from the CLI interface, is there any way to fix this? If you think there is a way, I would be happy to help implement it!

TWINT archived?

Apologies for using this repo but all of the others are archived. Why is this? I couldn't find anything online about it being discontinued.

Multiple words search not working

Hello there,

The issue I am facing is using getting tweets only containing 2 or 3 words

For exemple when I use

go run main.go -Query (flex working)

It gives me every tweets containing the word 'flex' but not the word working :

And then when I click on the link as you can see above here is what I get 👍

If you have an idea on how we could fix that ! Thanks
