I'm unsure why you wouldn't use a dedicated apt aware cache util for this. This repo is primarily designed as a list of gaming relevant CDN's and I would need to be convinced that this had significant enough relevance. I can only see you wanting this to cache server traffic and there are better ways?

I would definitely recommend aptcacher-ng for this sort of thing as its apt aware and understands the content its downloading. As Vibroaxe says its not something we are likely to add as it isn't a problem that occurs in our target networks (LAN parties).

To comment on the specific question, there is nothing within the cache-domains project that can help you with wanting to exlude a specific url from one of the cached domains.

This project is a list of hostnames that need DNS poisoning / redirecting to a caching system. A particular hostname is either redirected totally or is not redirected at all.

You would need to handle this within the caching system itself.

Because it looks like you are using the lancache project for the caching system, thats not something supported there either I'm afraid - it's simply not something required for the lancache intended use case.

Sure, I wasn't expecting nor requesting ubuntu be added to lancache. Thanks for the pointer to aptcacher-ng. It looks like it fits my needs.
