Hey. Known issue. We don't/won't have a fix for it right now. It's a big architectural deal. We'd like to fix it, but the bandwidth isn't there.

Some history on why this is an issue.
The cart cookie dates back 15 years. It's always been the standard to wipe it (clear the cart) after a transaction for both security and to avoid double orders. From your comments above, I gather you already understood this.

The "My Account" comes along and we have a quandry. On one side, we need to be able to share the login so a customer can login to myaccount, and then duplicate or re-order an order. Or at the very least, not have to login again. But, we now have the issue you brought up.

We've talked about it in depth, and we'll hammer it out. It will be 2014 at the earliest.

I figured it probably wouldn't be a quick fix, and at this point I'm more just anticipating what we're going to want to do in the semi-long run with sites we're just now starting to build. At the least, I'm glad it's already on the to-do table. Thanks for the run-down.
