PaperBurst

PaperBurst is a paper wallet generator for Burst. It is written on Visual Basic and it is only available on Windows for now.

Instruction

1. Install PaperBurst using the msi installer or simply download the portable version.
2. Launch PaperBurst.exe and 2.1)generate a new wallet (12 or 24 words) or 2.2)type your actual passphrase.
3. Save the pdf where you want on your PC.
4. Print your wallet
5. Fold it and/or cut it the way you want.

Be careful : if your password is a long string or isn't a 12 or 24 words passphrase, the pdf will not correctly render.

Finally, if the wallet was generated using PaperBurst, don't forget to activate it (ie. creating an outgoing transaction from your new wallet to share its publickey to the rest of the network)

Memory management

After generation of a pdf file, ram used = 200mb ...

Suggestion: Re-scale wallet to fit 2/page and allow multiple wallets to be created at same time

I would like to use this to create "physical airdrops"...I already did once manually, and it was a nightmare.

AS-IS it is still orders of magnitude easier than the manual method, but if it was even easier I think we could recruit more community members to start "airdropping" Burstcoins.

I just gave my last two Burst "coins" to the movers who helped carry my couches upstairs as a tip (didn't have cash...figured Burst is better!), and I will be creating more with the current SW...but it would be nice if your tool facilitated the spreading of Burst along with the safe cold storage of it!

Another great feature would be "automatic wallet activation/funding" from a seed-account. (By implementing a simple HTTP API interface with local/online wallet...sending Tx is literally a simple POST request with a few data fields, and polling the blockchain for received Tx is also simple, everything is returned as JSON objects. I'd take a crack at it myself, but I don't use VB only scripty stuff like python.

Use bigger wordlist

More than 24 words

Currently, PaperBurst can't deal with passphrases that are bigger than 24 words or that are not words.
Example : "DSFOéPHJIOWEjfiosfnsodn" => Can't fit in passphrase box on generated pdf.

Add multiple themes

Allow users to choose the design of the wallet (background, front name, etc)

Add "Activate Paper Wallet" instructions
