vacfind-site's Issues

Add a list of our current projects/goals

i think it would help to have a page to explain what we are actually working on or point to what we are contributing to so devs of other projects reading our site can see how we are related to other projects and what we are doing/what kind of volunteers we need

this could go really nicely with #4

Create a resources page to list links to dev resources from our database

this should be pretty much:

  • copy of the index.html page
  • change the text to explain what it is
  • add a link in the config.yml so its in the navbar
  • update the populatePage function to display the links in a flat list

Extra stuff:

  • organize the resources by type (freebies, api's, etc. this may require changes to the airtable schema since we don't currently support that

Discussion: Merge docs repository into the site?

Do we want to merge our Documentation repo into this site and just have documentation for our various initiatives and things in its own page/directory structure under this site?

IMO might be easier to maintain the docs that way an keep the public informed about what we are doing.

this could be done on #6

add server-side rendering

as discussed in todays meeting, we should host the site such that we can populate a list of projects (possibly inside a <noscript> tag) so that the site is usable to those without javascript.

This may depend on if we plan to use our site to provide a list of projects to end users in the 70+ age range that is currently getting vaccinated. if we do want to target these older people, the creators of https://vaxie.info/ suggested that we give them links one by one to try, rather than a whole national list
