root's Issues

Russian translation (перевод на русский)

I think it'd be good to have the Russian translation, and actually I'm going to provide the official one (made by crowdgames.ru, not me).

Creating issue just for reference, because one may also want to do so and can see this issue and avoid double work

FAQ improvement

FAQ should support markdown parsing. Really, only for the first "How do I read the Law" Q, and it should be:

Text in **small capitals** define key terms, text in _italics_ gives reminders and clarifications and faction icons mark rules modified by Faction Rules and Abilities sections.

The markdown is currently removed.

+1 draft for faction randomizer

fan-made.

  • first, draft # players (named player 1-x for now) - turn order and draft order are reversed
  • second:
    • first in turn order selects map (autumn, winter, lake, mountain)
    • second selects deck (E&P or original)
  • third, draw factions equal to the number of players that consider VB 2 correctly (basically, it can only be drawn if VB 1 is drawn) plus have a reach of at least 17, and then draw another random faction on top of that
  • players can sort out the actual logistics, the UI just needs to be provided to do the simpler stuff like picking randomly

modify calculator popup to a "setup" popup

it should have (as separate tabs):

  • calculator
  • expanded calculator functionality (pics here)
    • whitelist - select or deselect factions to make sure they're in the list
    • blacklist - ignore chosen factions
    • show running reach total with current selected factions
    • show reach of each faction like presently
    • player count selector
  • map randomizer

might want to get meeple pics too, to upgrade the calculator

Missing information in Keepers in Iron

Many factions specify that in the Birdsong, Daylight and Evening phases the player must follow the steps in a particular order (or in any order, if the faction so requires). This is missing from the Keepers in Iron sections:

  1. Your Birdsong has three steps in the following order.
  2. Your Daylight has two steps in the following order.
  3. Your Evening has three steps in the following order.

printing sucks. fix it.

.rule-container.major should break-after: page but for some reason this is ignored.

other minor improvements could be made based on the above.

what to do with search?

right now, it just highlights. it could:

  • add prev/next buttons to search occurrences (like the browser window does)
  • filter all of the items down so only relevant nodes would display if they have highlighted text
