Find In Google Serp (FIGS) is an easy to use extension to get the position of a website in Google Results

How to use it

Setting it up

On chrome://extensions/ :

1. Drag and drop the package from the explorer or the finder to install it
2. Check the box to allow the application to work in incognito mode
3. Click on "Options" on the extension and configure the domain you want to checks

Using it

1. Go in incognito mode on any country or global Google Search website and search for a keyword
2. Click on the FIGS icon next to the address bar
3. The position is saved in the clipboard and a confirmation appears

Inaccurate results when using Google Instant

When using Instant predictions from Google, sometimes the script doesn't wait for the ajax request to be fully loaded which results in inaccurate results.

Add config and position information in notification

Add the following placeholder in the notification and replace them on the fly :

• Position of the domain
• Domain configured

Check that the configured domain value is valid and warn about using full URLs instead of domain.

'undefined' domain value in config on first load
