Request: Don't use the word "connector"

Just a small request: please don't use the word "connector" to refer to integration plugins or similar tools. "Connector" has a specific meaning in Zotero — the Zotero Connector has been the official name of the browser extensions that save to Zotero for over a decade. That's what Zotero users expect when they hear that term, so calling other things "connectors" is likely to be very confusing, both in discussions and search results. We made a similar request to the developer of the other Obsidian plugin, who has since changed the name.

(To clarify, the file in Zotero is called server_connector.js because it defines the Zotero.Server endpoints for the Zotero Connector. Other endpoints would be…for things other than the Connector.)

Add icons for Zotero items in the list to distiguish types

Zotero returns all items regardless of their type and parent/child.
Having item icon next to title should help selecting the right item in the dropdown.

Implement pagination in suggest modal to avoid problems with large Zotero databases

At the moment ZotServer returns all results for a given query and all Zotero items if no query is present.

This could lead to performance issues for large Zotero databases.

Show loading indicator when waiting for ZotServer response

Currently if ZotServer is slow to response it is difficult to say if plugin is stuck or just waiting in the background.

Options for customisations

Hi! Really A really nice plugin! I found about this plugin through newsletter!
Do you consider adding option for customisation, like adding first author and year into the markdown link?

Add Zotero Web API connection

At the moment this plugin connects only to ZotServer endpoints.

It would be great to add an option to choose which Zotero APIs user wants to connect to.
