This repository hosts plugin for Vanilla Music. Prior to use it you should have Vanilla Music player installed

Once both player and this plugin are installed, request a context menu from library screen, select "Plugins" and "Lyrics search" afterwards. Note that this plugin requires internet connection to be useful.

• Requests lyrics by artist and title from lyrics.wikia.com
• Can interact with Tag Editor plugin:
  • Can read lyrics from file tags and show them without internet connection.
  • Can write lyrics retrieved from wiki to file tags

Lyrics search from menu in 'Now playing'

Please,also offer lyrics search from menu in 'Now playing'. Otherwise, users always have to go to the track in the library to get lyrics.

Show multi line lyrics

When reading lyrics from the tags, only one line is shown.
I tagged the mp3 file with Quod Libet.

Feature req: write to sdcard

Hi. Just want to ask if you could add the permission to write to external sdcard. The lyrics can't be saved in the same directory as the mp3s. Being able to browse or configure the default save location to other dirs for saving would be helpful.

Btw, where do the lyrics get saved by default? I copied a test mp3 to the internal drive /sdcard0/Downloads, the file is successfully saved but where? I can't find it, if its in a hidden system dir.

lrc files not detected

I just installed it to try. I have a song with a lyrics file with the same name in the same folder but this plugins says that no lyrics are found. should lrc files be put in a specific directory or what am i doing wrong?

Colours

Hey, I like to use completely black theme. I would like if you implemented a option to change the background colour to completely black (or possibly other user specified options)
Also the foreground colour would be nice to change but it is not as important for me.

Lyrics window size in version 1.2.0

Hello,
in version 1.2.0, a clean dialog window has been added in case no lyrics are found. For this, a default, fixed window size has been defined (as the lyrics field is empty anyway).
However, this default, fixed window size is also applied when lyrics are available, whereas the previous behaviour until 1.1.0 was to have a self-adaptative size depending on the number of lyrics lines.
Consequence is that only 5 or 6 lines of the lyrics are visible, which can be a pain for long text and is a pity on a large tablet screen e.g.
--> would it be possible to use the fixed window size only when no lyrics are available and to use the previous self-adaptative size when lyrics are available ?

Feature req: read local .lrc files (minilyrics)

I think that reading time lyrics from local .lrc files or id tags would be an awesome feature.
