Presentation version

We need to figure out how to have a higher res, more responsive version for presentations and live screenings (We screen next on Nov 11th at REDCAT).
During one of our press demonstrations, Legacy started pinwheeling and having problems.

Don't know why, but the restart is not working on Cradle, at least as a kiosk.

The white islands on the two timelines (top and left) cannot be jumped into by the viewer--or if they can, I can't imagine what would happen after the viewer plays through them and ends up in the black space.

One (and only one) of the early connections is not clearing on the SA timeline.

Legacy kiosk: start screen text off model

The Legacy start screen text is off center in the 27" imac.

The bottom rect is overshooting on big monitors, under shooting elsewhere

Legacy kiosk: slow running

Legacy kiosk is running 700 kbps version, but still running slow. Internet is overloaded here, partitioning it doesn't seem to be working.

Revise trade and identity icon designs

Only death and religion work fully as icons in the interactive. The trade design can stay with the coin motif, but must feel more significant in some way. Identity needs a general rethink: skin color, masks, etc. may be more effective than the mirror, which is not iconic enough for subject matter this heavy.

Start lines are still apparent in the design--As a viewer, it is confusing to approach a line, pass it, then see another line appear with an icon at the end of it.

Legacy essay text box

The current version of the Legacy essay is unadorned in comparison to the comps. There is no box around the text and no connecting lines behind the text. If this is because of scalability issues, let's discuss alternative ways to keep the theme alive in the essay.

9 second title sequence consisting of two title cards:

1. click on the icons to jump between countries (4 sec)
2. or stay where you are and watch your choices disappear (5 sec)

This is a problem. More of a problem on Cradle, but a problem overall that needs to be rethought and resolved.

Firefox support

Scrolling into the exhibit portion Cradle doesn't trigger autoplay, but does trigger the 15 second fade down on the instructions. It's tough to figure out how to make the video play if you scroll in--more of a problem on firefox, where the play button doesn't seem to work every time.
