civis's Issues

Reorientating reset game, et. al.

Working on a google nexus 4 phone (so most recent version of android), when reorientating the phone to landscape, the current game was exited and it went back to the main screen. When I tried to start a new game it crashed.

Also, the android navigation bar (back, home, open aps) blocks the view of a unit's actions, so it was a swag to figure out what button to press.

And, my phone doesn't have a space bar unless it thinks it needs to be typing text, so I couldn't end a turn (or couldn't figure out how to).

Love this game, would love to be able to play it on my phone... I'll keep an eye out for updates for more functionality. Good luck!

New Main Menu

New main menu screen.

Features are:

  • Faster to render/animate
  • Easier to use
  • Modern design

Basic enemy AI

Basic enemy AI implementation.

AI Requirements:

  • Settle
  • Build buildings if needed
  • Build units if needed

Implement Railways

Implement railways. Railways are like streets but speeds up more units.
If a railway is built on a street, the street is removed.

Remove nature element when settling

Should the nature element on the tile be removed when a city is settled on that tile?

In my opinion, a little city can coesist with the nature elements. A city can take advantage from being covered by a forest, in example. However, when a city begin to be too large, the nature element must obviously be removed.

So, in my opinion, a nature element on a city tile must be removed when the city reach a predefined population, and not immediatly.

What's your opinion?
