I can't reproduce this. What exactly were you doing?

I was using the built in tape program to write to a tape, and played it to make sure it worked properly. I then pulled the tape out of the tape drive and put it in a chest. I then later put the tape back into the drive, and the song I wrote to it was gone.
I am using:
Minecraft Forge 10.13.2.1230
AiseLib 0.3.3
Computronics 1.3.0
OpenComputers 1.4.0.7-rc.1
Railcraft 9.4.0.0
ElectricalAge BETA-1.9_r43
CodeChickenCore 1.0.2.9
NotEnoughItems 1.0.2.15
Buildcraft 6.1.8

Strangely enough I can't reproduce this at all. Might be something for @asiekierka to deal with...

Have you tried winding the tape back to the start before playing it?

Upon further testing, I discovered that putting the tape in the drive generates a 1KB .dsk file in the computronics folder in the world save. Writing the song to the disk, then pulling it out of the drive increases the file size to roughly that of the song I wrote to it. When I put the disk back in, it generates a new 1KB file. I don't know if that is helpful or not , but it seems to correlate with the behavior of the tape. (And yes, I tried rewinding the tape.)

Wait, so what you're saying is that the tape is losing its metadata? O_o
I just tried myself and I can confirm this. Tapes are forgetting that they have associated data.

Okay, it appears that the tapes are now saving the file name they belong to properly, unfortunately it also appears that the tape drive is not able to play the data, it is accessing the correct file but I can't hear any sound. This requires further investigation.
Calling @asiekierka as he did all this stuff.

Made an ugly workaround. It appears invalidate() is never being called.
