remotephototool's Introduction

RemotePhotoTool

About

RemotePhotoTool is a remote image capture application for Canon based cameras. It supports taking HDR and Panorama photos.

This is the open source project page. For non-developer related informations, head over to: https://vividos.github.io/RemotePhotoTool/

Build

Instead of releasing new versions of the tool periodically, I switched to AppVeyor builds that are run as soon as a new change is checked into the Git repository. The latest build and the build artifacts can be found here: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/vividos/remotephototool Here's the current build status: Build status

The project is occasionally checked with SonarCloud: Quality Gate Status

remotephototool's Issues

Work with two cameras simultaneously?

Does this program work with more one camera connected to a PC (Windows 7) via USB simultaneously? Also, what usb Windows driver needs to be installed for the cameras? I tried to use two cameras (Sony A6300 and Canon D60) with libgphoto2. Apparently, libgphoto2 talks to cameras via the Windows usb drivers. libusb-win32 did not work. libusbK works but only one camera at a time. Does your program work with more than one camera simultaneously? I noticed your program includes a libusb.dll. Does that bypass the system driver?

Would work on Windows 10 ARM?

What would it take to compile this, just the gphoto2 lib to be usable on Windows ARM platforms like Win IoT Core? Any help in the right direction would be appreciated!

Release always captures to same file

I'd really like to use this application for some stop gap animation, however every time I press release it saves to the same file e.g. C:\Users\adam\Pictures\2019-03-05\IMG_0001.jpg

Is there anyway to configure it to save to incrementing filename, i.e. IMG_0002.jpg, IMG_0003.jpg etc..

Canon EOS M3

I plug the canon EOS M3 camera, the programm find the camera and the information but I can't see the remote controller. Please solve this problem I need it, thanks you.

crash happens to 1.6

Hi friend,

Thank you very much for building such awesome software that works very well with my EOS 750D.

However, a crash happens sometimes. So, could you please release an upgraded version?

Actually, I noticed that you have built version 1.7, but I cannot find the download link.

Best,
Lei

G7 X Support

My Canon G7 X is not recognized by the software. Can you add support to it? (libgphoto2 would support it)
