chef-idea's Issues

Overwrites default idea64.vmoptions

As a preface, this may be more of a question:

The cookbook overwrites the idea64.vmoptions file. You are able to configre the Xms Xmx options but otherwise since it's templated it will overwrite all the defaults. Personally I'd like to have as much control as possible over this. It seems for a cookbook that is meant to install Intellij it should not configure the install at all and leave that up to the user. So at least having an option if you'd want to modify the default idea64.vmoptions would be nice.

Otherwise, was there a particular reason you overwrite this configuration file? Particularly defaulting the Xms and Xmx options to be higher.

installating plugins

Hi, was wondering if you are aware of any way to remotely configure plugins in intelliJ. We are looking for options to install & configure few plugins after intelliJ is installed via chef.
Eclipse has oomph which helps achieve this purpose.
For instance: want to install & configure SonarLint plugin on intelliJ and configure it to connect to a remote SonarQube server. Any pointers will help.

Ownership of 'setup_dir' is not recursive

For example, if the attribute node['idea']['setup_dir'] is set to '/home/hello/devel/tools', the default recipe creates the folders '/home/hello/devel' and '/home/hello/devel/tools' but only '/home/hello/devel/tools' belongs to the defined user, '/home/hello/devel' is owned by root.

This is an issue with the definition of the Chef 'directory' resource. Not sure about the best way to handle this.
