Welcome to the Zama Bounty Program! As an open source company working on Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) and open source cryptographic tools that make protecting privacy easy, we're happy to start this experimental program to encourage anyone from the community to help us move the space forward.
Session 1: November 22nd, 2022 -> January 6th, 2023.Submission deadline: January 6th, 2023 at midnight.- Session 2: January 25th, 2023 -> April 7th, 2023.

We currently have bounties in:
Bounties of €500-€5,000 are available to contributors who are willing to help us improve our documentation, resources, and libraries in order to better the Zama developer experience. These easy bounties are mostly aimed at students, independent developers, or researchers and can take the form of (but not exclusively):
- The creation of a tutorial or an application with one of our libraries
- The identification of a minor issue
- A contribution to our documentation
Bounties of €5,000-€50,000 are available to contributors who identify and resolve major issues, or for any significant contribution that will help us move the FHE space forward. These harder bounties are aimed at experienced researchers and developers and can take the form of (but not exclusively):
- A timing attack on one of our cryptographic libraries
- The identification of a major issue or vulnerability
- A significant contribution to one of our libraries
Bounties of €50,000+ are available to contributors who submit a major breakthrough.

The list of bounties is updated every quarter. Season 1 was launched during Q4-2022.
Most of the submissions will be reviewed at the end of the quarter to decide who gets the bounties. Some exceptions might occur for stellar submissions sent early on a quarter.

Our bounty committee is responsible for everything from accepting your initial bounty application to reviewing your code, merging your final PR, and getting you your well-deserved reward. We have selected a broad range of Zama team members and external reviewers to ensure that the process is as fair, fast, and smooth as possible.
