unboundbible's Issues

Display in 15" old laptop

Hello Vladimir, could it be possible to fix an error when using VBD in old laptops with 15 inches screeen, not the current 15.4 flat panel. My screen is from an old Dell Latitude D520 and the resolution is XGA 1024x768, this is the maximum I can get. The problem could be due that the screen aspect ratio in XGA is 4:3 different from modern screens with 15.4 inches and 16:10 aspect ratio.

Source code of release 5.1 cannot be compiled

Hello! Congratulations for the new release.

There seems to be a problem with the source code of the release: I cannot compile it.

Fortunately, no problem with the *.rpm package.

Regards.

For information, I downloaded ZeosDBO from svn, as indicated in README.md.

The weird thing is that I have, on the same computer, another binary of the same version, that I had compiled some weeks ago, and it works well. I don't remember which version of ZeosDBO I used when I compiled that binary.

What could be the explanation for the "connection failed" error?

Best regards.

Switch Localization to Lazarus builtin i18n

Lazarus has a built-in i18n localization support and is able to automatically create *.po files which can then be translated and compiled to *.mo files. This allows the program to automatically adapt to the systems language and also provides a standardized way of doing translation (you can use an external program like poedit as well). See more details in the wiki: https://wiki.freepascal.org/Translations_/_i18n_/_localizations_for_programs
I recommend switching to Lazarus built-in i18n.

God bless you!

Address bar

It would be great to make the application less mouse-dependent. Now even for the simplest operations (like switching to another passage), you have to perform a number of clicks. It would be much more convenient to be able to type the reference and press Enter to go there. The reference entry field should be focusable with a shortcut (like Ctrl+L, for instance).

How to include bibles in other languages

Hello! Congratulations for your nice project. I could compile it without any problem under Linux 64.
How could I use bibles in other languages?
Best regards.

Create a Portable version

The Unbound Bible is a fantastic app. There are the possibity of one Windows Portable Version? Is possible to change the default modules directory? God bless you!

Feature suggestion: a button to uninstall bibles

Hello Vladimir!

Congratulations for the new release of your beautiful software.

In the modules window, maybe you could add a button to uninstall a selected module? Each time I install a new version, I get modules that I don't need and I waste time to delete them manually.

By the way, there are two or three things not translated in french (for example the menu item "donate"). I can translate them if you want (and if you provide me the file that I have to edit).

Regards.
