Fonts are crashing Photoshop CS6 ?

Is it just me or does anyone have the same problem with these fonts? Im working on a (rentina) MacBook Pro with CS6

Include font metadata

The fonts can all be retrieved from Google's hg repository here:

Each font comes with a metadata file that is very valuable. It includes the font names in different formats, licences, and probably the most useful: the category. If that metadata were combined into a single data file, it would be very useful. Just being able to filter fonts by san-serif, handwriting etc. would be handy when selecting.

There are also many more font subsets in that hg repo than anywhere else, which includes the variation (greek, latin, etc.)

Each font family has a HTML description too, which is yet more metadata.

Difference between this and google/fonts?

Google just created a new fonts repository, with a goal very similar to this one:

The size between this repo and Google's is nearly identical; do you know the differences between theirs? Will this repository continue to be updated?

Update Share Tech Mono with a fixed version (ligature issue)

Certain letter combinations ('fl', 'fi') show up as single dots.

Comment 3 describes how to fix the issue with the font file using fontforge, comment 5 links to a blog post linking to a fixed version hosted on dropbox. These fixes have been available, but neglected by the Google repo.

Please consider updating the font in this repo.

Lacking JSON metadata for some fonts

I'm noticing that a few dozen of the fonts lack the METADATA.json file. I'm creating a sort of font directory for a program I'm writing, and the metadata is very handy. I don't know if there's anything you can do about this. Anyhow, thanks for creating this. It's very handy.

Sort fonts by license

Currently, all the fonts are uploaded in a single folder, and the licensing information isn't specified anywhere in the repository. Is there a way to add a list of which fonts are under which license somewhere in the repository?

As #4 mentions, the license files are missing.

This is probably illegal.

Rebranded to Google Fonts

Hey,
I'm the maintainer of the Google (Web) Fonts Arch Linux package, which pulls from your repo. Google now rebranded their Font directory, dropping the Web, to Google Fonts. I thought you might want to reflect this change in your repo. Probably, that actually only applies to the Readme.md file.

Renamed/deleted files are not synchronised

From @IvanUkhov's comment in #11

Let me note the following inconsistency:

CrimsonText-Roman.ttf has been renamed into CrimsonText-Regular.ttf, but you have both;
kopubbatangpro has been renamed into kopubbatang, but you have both;
the naming scheme of Raleway’s styles has been changed, and Heavy is no longer a part of the family, but you still have it.

CANT DOWNLOAD THE FONTS FROM HERE

I AM NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE ZIP OR TAR FILE.
I dont know why this is happening.
I am trying since 2 days. But somehow it gets finished in few seconds without downloading.
You Helpful Guys,get me out and help me downloading the googlefonts.
