aquamacs-emacs-starter-kit's Issues

Starter kit won't start

I"m not sure if this is a bug or some configuration I don't have quite right. Whenever I start my aquamacs, I get this:
File error: "Cannot open load file", "/Users/jhill/.emacs.d/elpa/archives/-pkg"

It errors out in the package library here: package-strip-version

Please consider updating the readme file to include a reference to installing coffee-mode.

Please consider updating the readme file to include a reference to installing coffee-mode. The setup requires coffee-mode, which is fine, but newbies will wonder why the don't have it in the starter kit. I went ahead and installed it. I also noted that slim-mode and twitter are referred to within many of your files, but those packages are also not installed -- so perhaps include a reference in the readme for those also. It would be nice to have links or something just in case people want your same setup.

Also, many newbies do not realize that Aquamacs 24 includes many scripts under-the-hood -- such as whitespace, color-theme, toolbar, etc. Perhaps the readme could include an informative paragraph about how to reveal package contents in the event any of those scripts need to be tweaked. In my case, one of the toolbar scripts needed to be hard-coded because it trumped the customizations.el.

I really appreciate your starter kit -- it has been a great way to learn more about Emacs.
