Dependencies:

• Node 12.x or higher, you can get it here.

Installation:

To install this bot follow these simple steps.

1. Download and un-zip (or clone) the repo.

2. Install node.js you can get it here.

3. On Windows, open the command line. On Linux and MacOS, open a terminal.

4. Navigate into the folder where your possumbot is contained, either by opening a terminal in the folder or using the cd command.

5. Type npm install into the console.

If it doesn't work make sure you have node.js installed. (You can install it here.) If it still doesn't work restart your console.

6. Open your browser and go to discord.com/developers And create a new application and customize it to your liking.

You should see something like this:

Navigate to the bot settings

Enable privileged gateway intents.

After enabling privileged gateway intents copy your token.

After you copied the token proceed to the next step.

7. Open the possumbot folder and navigate to botsettings.json and open it with a text editor.

It should look like this

8. Paste your token into the token field, and save the file. Don't remove the quotes.

9. Run start.bat (or start.sh if you're on linux), if the bot doesn't run, type node bot.js into the console.

10. A link will be generated in the console use it to invite the bot. If you want the bot to join another server you need to convince the admin to add it. If the bot doesn't have admin perms it won't work.

The bot is not working

I started the bot, used the command, and seems to be not working, just deleting what i type

i type: !arturdebil
it just deletes what i typed

NPM Install

I have this very persistent issue, whenever I chance directories to the file, then I run npm install, it goes fine for a bit, then at extract it just stops, and if you click anything terminal crashes, Running on Windows, I tried the latest version and 10.13.0, but it's the same issue over and over.

I open the botsettings.json as a notepad file and then saved that back to the original .zip folder. idk what im doing wrong

Commands not working

I've activated it, and the server owner added the bot to the server. But none of the commands are working. is there a prefix? Or do you just type !myakish ? because it's not working and i dont get it. Is the bot supposed to be online? How do you get it to come online? Helpp please

Cant kick/ban the server owner by using "!arturdebil" but all of the other commands work...

Problem sovled.

Bot does not create its own admin role.

Normally most bots create themselves an admin role but for whatever reason PossumBot does not which limits its "hacking" abilities such as not being able to use !myakish
