This extension uses the MPRIS v2 interface, which, AFAIK, does not provide a standard method for modifying track metadata – ratings can only be queried, and only if the player itself provides them.
(The user interface varies between players, too – for example, some players display five stars, others have four or three; xesam:userRating is specified only as a floating point number.)
