play buttons don't seem to toggle on touch devices. Actually, they do kind of toggle, but you have to click away after each click to see them update properly.

Canceling key events prevents browser hotkeys

Key events are cancelled with preventDefault, which also prevents opening devtools and opening/switching tabs with keys.

add an data attribute that opts out of the JS code picking a random start point in the sound. This is for sound files with gaps in them. The goal is to make sure the user always gets immediate feedback upon pressing one of the buttons.
