MagicMatrix

A controller app for an 8x8 RGB-matrix powered by a Colorduino or Arduino with Itead Studio Colors Shield.

1. The Slave-software that runs on the Colorduino/Arduino
2. The Java-based host software (= this Git repository)

##Slave software The Slave software is written by Lincomatic and needs to be installed on your Colorduino/Arduino board and can be downloaded here. More explanation can be found over here. ###Troubleshooting To ensure correct working of the slave software, it should be uploaded to the board with the Arduino 022 software, which can be found on this page. This has something to do with a change in the size of the serial buffer size. ##Host software Download the JAR-file from this repository and run on your computer after connecting your matrix.

magicmatrix's Issues

Add possibility to rotate matrix colors

With different wiring, the matrix might show the colors upside down and/or in the wrong direction. An option to correct this should be added in the top menu bar.

Replace all colors

A button that replaces all colors in the current frame/all frames with another selected color

Use arrows to navigate through the frames

Show warning when overriding other file with save

FramePicker Size

FramePicker is incorrectly resized after coloring a pixel

Add new in the file menu

Add a possibility to start a new animation in the file menu. Ask to save current changes before starting again with a single black frame.

Add Colorduino connect menu

Add menu to connect with Colorduino after start of program and/or select port

Load does not recognize all BMPs and cannot load custom images

Load does not recognize all BMPs in the current folder and does not recognize all BMPs. Some BMPs are loaded incorrectly (f.e. the bingbong.bmp file).

Add 'Other' to Load menu

Load during animation throws error, should instead stop animation and load the new frame
