qd-realization's Issues

Using visualizer

Dear Contributors,
With the current state of the repository, is the visualizer supposed to work? The documentation states that it will be a subsequent deliverable, but the app is already there. Running an example problem the .json output files have been successfully generated. However, the visualizer seems to expect .csv. If I set the output to .csv, the visualizer still doesn't work. Could you please clarify this a little?
Thank you very much in advance!

Additional Channel Information on Target's Joints and Reflections

Dear Developers,

first of all i wanted to thank you for provided software. I have a question regarding the output of the simulation.
Assume we place a human model target with 17 joints in the environment. The generated JSON output file will return channel information on the single backscattering path from transmitter to the receiver through the backscattering of the target's base. Is it possible to acquire channel information based on the reflections of all joints and not just the base?

Additionally, it seems like if the input parameter 'totalNumberOfReflectionsSens' is increased (>0) (to consider not just the direct backscattering from the target, but also the reflection rays), the generated JSON output will still only contain information about the direct backscattering path. Again, is it possible to acquire the additional channel information of the additional rays (which are also displayed in the visualizer)?

Best Regards,
Jannis Held

Massive MIMO PAA

Dear devs

I'm wondering if it's possible to simulate an 8x8 antenna array transmission.
From the example "L-Room-rotation-multiPAAs", I understand that I'd need to write the NodePaa0.dat with the position/orientation of all 64 elements. Is that correct?

Is there any limitation regarding the number of PAAs?
Would you know how the computational cost would increase with the number of PAAs?

Kind regards

Frequency dependency of material libraries

Dear Developers,
As one of the satisfied users of your ray tracer, I was wondering about the validity of the NIST material library at ~39GHz. If I'm not mistaken -- and sorry if I misunderstood something --, the current library is based on measurement campaigns (both NIST and TGay) that have been carried out in the 60GHz band. Do you have any experience with the ray tracer in other bands?
Thank you very much in advance!

Where is the PPTs

Dear Developers,
Your implementation of the ray tracing algorithm is very helpful for understanding this algorithm. First of all, I would like to express my sincere thanks to you. In addition, there are still some confusing places in the process of reading the code. I saw some ppts that can be referred to in the comments, but I didn't find them. May I ask if you can provide it.

finding LOS with "verifyPath"

Dear developers,

I am getting strange results when checking if LOS exists in the L-room using the verifyPath function. It happens on many locations, for example:
verifyPath([3 4 3], [8 18 1], [-5 -14 2], [0 0 0], [0 0 0], CADOutput, 2, 0)
gives me that there is LOS, which should not be the case.

Can you please first verify this result? If true, what can be the cause for that?

Many Thanks!
Marwan
