wildfly-installation-manager-api's Issues

Return a boolean instead of void for prepareRevert / prepareUpdate

There could be a use case where the prepareRevert or prepareUpdate returns no error but the candidate server is not prepared because there are no updates available.

Those methods should return a boolean to indicate when there is no exception, whether the server was prepared.

CC @spyrkob , I remember we talked about this some time ago, so just adding it here.

Expose ProgressCallback to monitor provisioning operations

Remove channel name argument from changeChannel method

The channel name is the channel identified, so the name argument is unneeded for this method since the new channel passed as argument is enough to do the modification

Remove Elytron dependency and adapt the InstallationManagerFinder to allow callers using the ServiceLocader cache provider facility

Elytron dependency can b removed since the ServiceLoader allows one to look up provider instances using a specific class loader.

In addition, we should allow the caller to use the Service Locader provider cache facility to avoid loading the provider instance every time the finder() method is invoked
