Câu hỏi trong lời nói gián tiếp: Quy tắc chuyển từ câu trực tiếp sang câu gián tiếp

Step 1: Thay đổi subject, object, possessive adjectives cho phù hợp
Step 2: Thay đổi động từ: Thì của các động từ trong lời nói gián tiếp thay đổi theo một nguyên tắc chung là lùi về quá khứ

  • Present simple -> Past simple -> Past perfect -> Past perfect
  • Present continue -> Past continue -> Past perfect continue -> Past perfect continue
  • Present perfect -> Past perfect
  • Present perfect continue -> Past perfect continue
  • Future simple (will + verb) -> Conditional (would + verb) -> Conditional (would + verb)

Bổ sung thêm:

  • thay đổi động từ tường thuật: asked -> wanted | know -> wondered
  • Khi sang câu gián tiếp: bỏ liên từ that, dấu ?

Có 2 loại câu hỏi trong câu trực tiếp: Wh-question và Yes/No question
Vd: "Are you ready?", he asked me.
--> He asked me whether I was ready

"When will you be ready?", he asked me.
--> He asked me when i would be ready.

Câu trần thuật: Quy tắc chuyển từ câu trực tiếp sang câu gián tiếp
