OSCP use

I notice the function to brute force FTP which, by my reading, could be considered auto exploitation. Is there any other brute forcing or similar features? Is the best way to avoid the FTP brute forcing to use the Recon switch and just not use that function?

This is certainly not a problem with the tool, just how it may be used in one specific scenario.
