covid19's Issues

data beyond 03.23

Hi Wlad - This is good stuff. However, looks like that you're referencing files that aren't updated beyond 03.23 ? Any particular reason for not doing so ?

Data sources for population data

Hi, would it be fine to ask the reference for the population data plus the number of icu beds available? I wish to leverage this research and run it over with my country data. I'm from the Philippines.

Please add a license to this repository

Great project! I would love to contribute to the project, but first, it would be really good to know what is the license that the project use.

I found in covid19_SEIR.ipynb: "Please feel free to download this code. If it helps on finding solutions for exit strategies on the current pandemics we will be humbled. Please cite as Lyra et al. in prep.", so I think you are interested in make the repository open.

But note: "If you find software that doesn’t have a license, that generally means you have no permission from the creators of the software to use, modify, or share the software. Although a code host such as GitHub may allow you to view and fork the code, this does not imply that you are permitted to use, modify, or share the software for any purpose.". Note: I added the bold parts, source: Choose A License article: No license

Note yet, from GitHub's licensing help page:

You're under no obligation to choose a license. However, without a license, the default copyright laws apply, meaning that you retain all rights to your source code and no one may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work. If you're creating an open source project, we strongly encourage you to include an open source license. The Open Source Guide provides additional guidance on choosing the correct license for your project.
Note: If you publish your source code in a public repository on GitHub, according to the Terms of Service, other GitHub users have the right to view and fork your repository within the GitHub site. If you have already created a public repository and no longer want users to have access to it, you can make your repository private. When you convert a public repository to a private repository, existing forks or local copies created by other users will still exist.

About the most popular open source licenses: "MIT, Apache 2.0, and GPLv3 are the most popular open source licenses, but there are other options to choose from. You can find the full text of these licenses, and instructions on how to use them, on choosealicense.com". Source https://opensource.guide/legal/#just-give-me-the-tldr-on-what-i-need-to-protect-my-project

My vote is for the MIT license, but it is your project, so you decide what to do.

Thanks in advance.
