How i can launch gamemode?

HI, i tried to send some commands in among us chat to setup the gamemode, but no response. How i can ative this gamemode in game?

Mod Among Us.exe loading Normal Game

I seem to be having the same issues as others. Have done a copy of the Among Us folder, extracted the mod into that folder but when i run Among Us within that folder it loads as the normal game. Have tried various ways, friends have tried we just cant seem to get it to load the mod at all. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no joy.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro. It is a brand new build, so everything has been installed clean. Unsure it that makes a different or not?

Crewlink issue

Mine works with Crewlink, but for all my friends it's saying "waiting for Among Us" on Crewlink and it's not linked (it works on normal Among Us). We don't understand what's the difference between us.

Mod not loading

When I launch among us after doing all the steps, there is still no indication that the mod has loaded. When I start a game, none of the extra settings appear either. I could use some help troubleshooting this

Problem with other mods

Can you put a bool verification before the Sheriff role will be assigned to the crewmates ? for Exemple Sheriff + Mayor : They both use BepInEX and they both work using the same Plugin folder , but both special roles always get assigned to the same crewmate all the time . Will you be able to add something that make it reshuffle the assignement of Sheriff mod to another crewmate if the chosen one already got a special role ?

Mod not working (Epic Games?)

When i did all the steps nothing changes when i start Among Us.exe
I bought the game on epic games and saw I have different files than my friends so maybe that's the problem idk.

Don't give Sherrif to players who don't have mod

In my group of 10 there are like 2-3 people who dont have the mod so my request is to make it so that when there are people in the lobby without the mod they are excluded from getting Sherrif. or an option to enable which players the sherrif can be cycled between

Timeout "6 pings with no answer" v1.1

Playing this mod has been working flawlessly earlier, but today we updated to 1.1 and have consistently getting random players dropped due to server timeout. This doesn't happen in Vanilla Among Us, we are not using any other mods alongside the Sheriff mod either.

Shortcut to Kill as Sheriff Does Not Work (Q Button)

Q does nothing when Kill button is highlighted.

It´s loading but when game starts the screen stays black

So i can load the game with the mods and everything however when the host starts the game the screen stays black and i can´t see a thing.

Request: Make it so only crew can see who is Sheriff

As the title states, it'd be great if only Crewmates could see who the Sheriff is when Show Sheriff is on, as there is never any use for impostors to know who is Sheriff that would help the crewmates. Maybe make it something like the taskbar settings ,where you have three options, Off, Crewmates Only, and On?

Add "Q" for kill shortcut for sheriff kill

Hey there! I know this feels rather insignificant, But for PC users, The game feels really unbalanced as a sheriff without a keyboard shortcut to kill, As the imposters seem to quickly sense the danger and kill the sheriff before the sheriff is able to manually hover the mouse to kill them, I am not sure if its possible to add a shortcut, But will certainly be a improving and helpful upgrade if possible.

Kill Button Active while Task as Sheriff

If you do the Fuel task during the game, you can try to kill as Sheriff, which is pretty inconvenient, since you kill yourself if there is someone doing task next to you.

This can be pretty gamebreaking, since you kill yourself unintentionally during the task.
This also can happen during Voting Screen.

Kills as sheriff not working properly, (sheriff dead for everyone else and, imposter still alive)

Hi,

In my last game I was sheriff and killed one imposter, but somehow the game got messed up and registered me as dead for everyone else.
In my game, I was alive and the imposter was dead, but for everyone else the imposter was still alive and I was dead.
I was invisible for everbody else, but was not a ghost and could do emergency tasks.

Maybe some syncronization issue, not sure.

Issue with languages

Hi,
when the game is in a path with non english latters, the custom settings (show sheriff) is not showing and you cant change it.

Black screen

After the "Shhh" or role reveal, My screen is just black, but I can hear sounds.

Suggestion

Add option to allow crewmates to see who the sheriff is (if possible).

I dont see loaded sheriff mod by woodi at the top

I extracted the files from the zip and copied them all into the among us folder and I dont see loaded sheriff mod by woodi at the top and the mod is not working

Custom region not working.

I cannot create a lobby on the custom region. When I click "confirm", either nothing happens or the screen just turns black and it disconnects me.

Does this work for android?

Issue when impostor

when you are Impostor, you don't see the red line around the crewmates you want to kill

Sherriff Auto-targets when stacked

It appears that the Sherriff, if on a stack containing the imposter, will always prioritize the imposter.

How to mod

I am new to this but i really wanna know how to mod these files to generate our own gamemodes. Could yo suggest any source from where i can learn it and how to mod it in the files i downloaded from here

Not working

I've tried everything, followed videos, friends helped me do it exactly like they have theirs. I tried reinstalling the game, verifying files. Nothing works. I can open the game but the mod does not load. Windows 10.

Kill Button Not Appearing

I became the sheriff but I didn't have the kill button I only had the normal crew mate report button. I also made sure everyone else in the lobby had the mod installed.

Sheriff Mod Problem

So I did copy the Among us folder and pasted the Sheriff files in there but if i start Among Us i dont have the Mod enabled. I only have Among us Application and not Among Us,exe i dont know if that changes anything but yea. I also tryed both versions of it and both dont work pls help

Sheriff kills in voting

When we were discussing the last round I hit my push to talk button, which is q. So I killed one of the imposters at the table then later in the discussion I killed myself.

Game keeps crashing.

I've tried multiple times to play the game using the mod. I've done all steps correctly, and "loaded Sheriff Mod v1.01 by Woodi" appears at the top left of the home screen.

Every time I attempt at trying to join a game with the mod, it works fine until after the "shh" scene, where it should show your roles, when the game completely crashes. I've tried running the exe many times, and even added the mod to the original among us files. Nothing worked.

I've even told my friends to download the mod so they could try playing with me, but this same issue happened with them.

If anyone could reach back to me with a solution, it would mean a lot.

I noticed the game path says it`s on the E: Drive, allthough AmongUs runs on the C: Drive. Any idea how to fix it?

I appreciate the work you have done, this is a really fun mod, but I was wondering if you will be posting how the mod works and general docs so it can be collaborated on. Also while the zipped packages are very nice, it is a little strange to only have the zip on the repo and not the source.

Some suggestions for the project and some bugs to be fixed

Suggestions

• Choose how many sheriffs you can have in the match.
• Support for Jester mode on skeld.net, so we can play with 1 jester and 1 sheriff without the sheriff being Jester at the same time.
• Put an option in case the sheriff kills any innocent, he and the sheriff die instead of just the sheriff dying.
• Choose the sheriff kill cooldown time.
• Choose the sheriff field of view.
• In the discussion, the color of the sheriff's name, instead of being white, could be yellow.

Bugs

• When you enter a room where the person who is hosting is without the mod, your departure is left with a black screen and when you leave and try to enter another room or the same, you are disconnected internationally for x seconds.

(I don't know if this bug can be fixed because it is for people who are without the mod)

• When the sheriff kills some innocent and dies people who are without the mod, the sheriff remains alive and can speak in the chat and appears in the match as if he were a dead/alive innocent.
  
  This error ended up happening with a friend of mine, if you can answer how to resolve this error I thank you. (problem solved in #54, thanks @slang25 for mentioning the problem)
• If the person becomes the sheriff and tries to use the Q to kill, it just doesn't work (bug sent by @tomozbot)
• This happens when the sheriff and imposter kill in the same time (imposter tries to kill the sheriff and vice versa, some crewmate can the imposter dead some other may see the sheriff dead.
• I think if there is any listener in the kill button for the imposter and sheriff , you can compare the time stamp to decide who was faster to decide who to kill. (bug sent by @fradali)

(I will probably edit and post some more suggestions and some bugs that I forgot or I will find.)

Sherrif Vent Kill - Ghost Chat

Im not sure whether this was intentional or not, but the sheriff can kill an impostor while he is sitting in the vent, if the sherriff stands on top of it. I feel like this should not be possible, because even if the sheriff doesnt kill the imp in the vent, he still KNOWS some1 was there.

Also one of my friends had the issue that he was able to read the ghost chat and see the ghosts as alive players walking around the map. We think the reason why he was able to see the the ghost chat is, because the game didnt register those players actually dying, on his screen, he was still able to vote them in meetings, its like they never died. The problem didnt resolve itself even after a restart in the next game.

Suggestion: Option to Make Server Host Always Sheriff

I learned something interesting about the sheriff mod. If you create a lobby not on the Custom region, there is still a chance that you can be a sheriff if you have the mod installed. However, those who do not have the mod installed cannot be the sheriff. My suggestion is to make an option where the lobby host is always the sheriff. That way, you can play the sheriff mod with people who do not have the mod installed.

Unstable when running on Linux with Steam Proton/WINE

I'm trying to make this work in Wine or Proton so I won't need to reboot for just one game, however the mod makes the game EXTREMELY unstable and it can crash at literally any moment. I made a lobby and it crashed. I made another lobby, and then it didn't crash until I went to the laptop. I launched the game a 3rd time, it crashed on the title screen. I can't find a consistent place where it crashes and it seems random.

I'm running the game with Proton-5.21-GE which for the vanilla game runs like its Linux native. Its only the mod that makes it this way. Running with standard Wine is even worse as while it doesn't crash, making a lobby makes the game completely black and you can't see anything (you can hear menu sounds so it seems like it never even leaves the menu to make a lobby, it just blacks out the game screen).

OS: Pop!_OS 20.10 (Ubuntu based)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
CPU: Intel i5-4690K @ 3.9GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
