betterunderground's Issues

Better Underground 1.1.5 + Biome Bundle = "giant" water cubes

I was playing around with a small 1.12.2 modpack when i noticed an interesting bug. When I added the latest (1.1.5) version of Better Underground to my pack I noticed a lot of water-cubes underground:

bu_water

They disappeared when i set "Probability of more water fountains on wet caves" to 0. I guess the bug happens because you add a rectangle/cube of water to caves to create pools and because BiomeBundle's caves are much bigger than vanilla-caves the water ends up floating mid-air. I hadn't time to test it but I could imagine that using the "Big Caves" setting in Quark would produce similar problems.

Mossy Dirt Generation

it generates just like the bone pile, it shouldn't. it should check if the block is dirt, then replace it with mossy dirt.
i tried but couldn't :( (spent 1 hour)

Mossy Dirt Texture

Not a huge fan of the 32x32 texture for mossy dirt. I prefer my mods to use vanilla resolutions of 16x16 with the option to apply a resource pack.

If I produced a suitable 16x16 texture would you be willing to use it?

Barring that, can we instead / also get an option to disable its generation?

Very Cool Improvement - Texture Camouflage

i got the idea while playing with Better Underground mod.
The improvement is, stalactites should have the same texture with the block they attached.
For example, if a stalactite connected to an Andesite, it should has andesite texture.
So we won't need any textures, will just make the stalactite model and that's all. It will take the block texture it attached, then have it from that block.
if attached to a Granite, it will have Granite texture. But it's model won't be changed, only the texture.
Will try to do it, but have no idea how to do it. need your help @Wyn-Price :D

Stalactite: Silk Touch Drop Bug

it also drops cobblestone/sandstone when silk touched. so infinite cobblestone/sandstone with 1 stalactite...
and second thing, sometimes 2x itself when silk touched. (random)
for example breaking stone stalactite with silk touch gives 2x stone stalactite + 2x cobblestone, sometimes.

What is your license status on this mod?

I saw your post on the Wild Caves 3 forum topic requesting permission for the port. Additional permission is not necessary. The author of WC3 has already indicated that the code is open source by word and deed:

Also, I would venture to say that your port is based on this one from GoToLink:

https://github.com/GotoLink/WildCaves3

That port has an open license stated:

https://github.com/GotoLink/WildCaves3/blob/master/LICENSE.md

Basically, I am asking for permission to continue forward with your port. The license you ported under requires that you pass on the license you received, which is an open one. But I respect your efforts.

Since you seem not to be interested in this mod and the current manager has pulled the mod repeatedly, I would like to continue this mod under the name Wild Caves 4 which is the proper one given its history. I plan to add new content and textures as well. Do you agree?
