Create aand release racing track for player movement prototype

Give play testers the extrinsic motivation to try out the player movement and assess it's gamefeel.

Mike's Adventure is aiming to feel fast paced and action dense.

  • Create 'race track' level layout
  • Track time around the level
  • To Consider: Remember best time between sessions?
  • Explain movement controls
  • Fix #8
  • Add build script
  • Build prototype release
  • Create playtest questionaire
  • Release movement prototype playtest

Implement sound effects

  • Jump sound effect
  • Walking step sound effect
  • Experiment: Make audio relative to Mike, instead of the camera

Implement crounch and crouch walk

  • Implement idle crouch
  • Implement crouch walk
  • Update demo scene to allow for crouching under terrain
  • Disable standing up while crounhed under terrain
  • Disable jumping while crouched under terrain

Landing effects

  • Play sound on landing
  • Implement 'puff of smoke' effect on landing
  • Implement 'puff of smoke' effect on jumping of the ground

Implement wall-cling / wall-slide / wall-jump

  • Implement wall-slide (Instead of dropping after wall-cling, transition into slide)
  • Implement wall-slide sound effect
  • While in wall-cling or wall-slide states, allow jumping off the wall
  • Implement wall-jump sound effect
