A simple "game" that connects to Twitch and tracks followers and how long they've been in your chat.

Think of it like Revlo but without any of the benefits.

Includes its own "new follower" jingle.

Works best if the volume is adjusted very low / muted.

Built for love2d 0.10.1

This is a semi-private project. Since it isn't going anywhere, I made it public.

stream-game's Issues

Follower flags don't seem to be getting updated properly

This will probably require a total rework of how following statuses are set, but it doesn't look like the code is properly detecting, announcing, or updating followers now. There's someone that has a "new" flag that has been following for >=11 days (when it long should have changed), and some follows weren't being announced at all.

Twitch IRCv3 support (bits, subscriptions, etc)

Twitch IRC gives random joins/parts

Twitch will randomly say (even if a user has not actually left) that they have parted the channel and later rejoined.

Possible fixes:

• Don't remove players from the active list at all if they join once
• Add another timeout for "left channel" to give Twitch some time to fix itself
• Throw hands up and scream

Internal sort order is wrong

Sorting breaks when a player has no activity values remaining.

Leaving channel and rejoining doesn't update "inChannel" flag

IRC code should be in a separate thread and pass messages

Instead of having the IRC update code in the middle of the game update, it should be pushed out to one of the threads and update that way
