Project Description

"Doxie Assistant" is a personal AI assistant, designed to streamline daily tasks and enhance productivity. From managing schedule to providing personalized recommendations, Doxie Assistant leverages AI technology to make life easier.

Frontend: React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML Backend: Netlify Serverless AI Models: OpenAI (GPT-3.5-turbo)

Installation Instructions

Creating & storing embeddings in supabase vector database

1. Modify personalInfo.txt for the info you want to store in the database
2. Run personal_info_query.sql in your database
3. Go to supabase subdirectory, create .env file & set up SUPABASE_API_KEY, SUPABASE_URL, OPENAI_API_KEY.
4. Launch textSplit.js from the supabase subdirectory

Local - vite (main branch)

1. Clone the repository
2. Install dependencies
3. Set up VITE_OPENAI_API_KEY, VITE_SUPABASE_API_KEY and VITE_SUPABASE_URL in .env file located at the root of project directory
4. Launch using 'npm run dev'

Using netlify (deploy branch)

1. Clone the repository
2. Connect the repository to Netlify.
3. Make sure to set up environment variables (OPENAI_API_KEY, SUPABASE_API_KEY and SUPABASE_URL) in netlify environmental variables settings.
