Project Vision

BRIMS Self-Management Software is a cross-platform mobile app that acts as a daily diary for those who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. The aim of this project is to regularly monitor the patient, how frequently they fall/lose balance, and by retaining this information, it can be charted and trends can be identified, which ultimately allows for a progression of degradation to be found for each individual user. This software also provides a web-based admin interface which allows the researchers to analyze incoming data, export it to Excel, and view graphs of the data. It would also provide full CRUD functionality.

The API endpoint used in the "Questions" page needs to be changed.

Currently, the endpoint used contains mock data, so it'll have to be changed to the actual API endpoint (once it's done).

Add a loading screen to the app.

The loading screen would be shown when the user performs actions such as logging in, saving answers, recording falls etc.

Modify AndroidManifest to allow HTTP requests.

The app doesn't keep users logged in if they have an API token.

For the time being, since a single API key is being shared among all users, the app would simply have to validate its saved API key with the API upon launching. The validation wouldn't require any interaction with the DB for now.

Considering the above is a huge security risk, this would change after the demo, and users' session tokens would be used to validate their access to the API (this would entail interacting with the DB).

Answers page and Create Question page title tag fix.

The <title> tag of both pages have a lowercase "page" in them.

ScrollView components' left margin/padding cuts off Card shadows.

App's go back event not handled immediately after login.

Delay chart page's data fetch if the previous page was the falls page.

Charts page needs a button to go back to the current week.

Use stored procedures for admin and user session creation.

Add download/index page resize media queries.

Logging out and using the back button to exit the app makes the FCM token cause an error.

The font family needs to be specified on all app components with a custom font size.

Some Android phones cut off parts of words if the font size is changed and a font family isn't explicitly specified.

The "expo-updates" module needs the update URL in the AndroidManifest file.
