yago-4.5's Introduction

Yago 4.5

YAGO is a large knowledge base. In this version (4.5), YAGO combines the ontology of Schema.org with the data from Wikidata, most notably the Wikidata taxonomy. This GitHub repository contains the source code that generates YAGO from Wikidata. It is of use only for people who want to build YAGO themselves.

If you are mainly interested in using YAGO, please see the Web page of YAGO.

Building YAGO

The creation of YAGO proceeds in 6 steps, which each corresponds to one Python file. Run the steps sequentially.

yago-4.5's Issues

Question about schema.org properties

Hi, I am looking at the YAGO 4.5 release and there are properties like schema:populationNumber, schema:humanDevelopmentIndex etc. that don't exist in the schema.org vocabulary. I understand that these map to wikidata properties that are useful, I am wondering if you are providing an extension to schema.org in another file somewhere that contains the RDF definitions for these new properties? I see SHACL shapes that reference them via sh:path, but I am not sure where the original property definition for RDFS inference is located.

Thanks for your work on this dataset.

schema.org URIs and domain and range of properties

Dear all,

We are working with YAGO4 for our work about Sem@K and our link prediction datasets YAGO4-LP.

We recently witnessed some changes on the YAGO endpoint when running our scripts:

  • schema.org URIs have changed from http to https
  • rdfs:domain and rdfs:range triples are now longer available for properties

Therefore, I just wanted to check with you if this is intended or a bug of the version under development.

Thank you in advance for your answer.
Best,
Pierre

Wordnet taxonomy

Hello,

I would like to get the taxonomy file, which has all entity relations mentioning the wordnet. I tried some of the files given at different versions of the YAGO, but I could not get it. Can you please share the link for the file?
