Landline phones are something that a lot (maybe even most) people don't have anymore. However, this is still a mandatory field on the application form. I think it would be a good idea not to have it as a required field.

After first page, when I clicked next and then closed and reopened my details where there.
After next pages (personal details onwards) when I closed it said my changes would not be saved if I left.
I left and when copied in link had to enter details again as they were not saved. This happened up until I submitted part 1.
Then happened again after – after I clicked next on assessment questions I left and it hadn’t saved my progress.

When you have the form open on a phone or on a splitscreen on a desktop, the 'previous' button goes above the 'next' button at the bottom. It then becomes counterintuitive (for me at least) because I kept clicking the previous button wanting to progress through the form. Is it worth thinking about whether they should be the other way around or is this too confusing? JUst a thought!

Once students get to the long answer section, it might be useful here to have a line of copy saying whether students can exit the form at this point and have their answers saved. Or, stating if this is not the case and their answers will be lost. Some might want to go away and work on their answers over several days.

Instructions: Enter selective school "Bexlety Grammar School", correct age (16-17), no to Free Schools Meals, no to First Generation, High Income (higher than £45,001). Select 'Yes for being a Young Carer' but NOT for 'Care-Experienced'
Expected outcome: Able to submit form but will will receive email / notification to say they do not meet criteria.
Issue: Unable to move past first page. Came up that they do not accept students from private schools. (Ryan Test 9)

Allowed me to submit form despite putting 500 characters for first name, last name, and other qualification.
Email address only flagged as invalid when it didn't include @ or .com. When I added these in, the form allowed it to continue despite there being 500 characters.

Most people no longer have home phone numbers, it does let you put in a mobile number but students may become confused or just copy in their mobile numbers which limits ability to contact them.

I assessed the ease of use when searching for various common and uncommon job titles.
Jobs only show if students use commas between key words e.g. 'Administrator, personnel' appeared but 'Administrator personnel' did not. This could cause issues/confusion for students.
Work arounds can be found for most job titles, but clarity with students is probably needed for how to select the correct choice. I believe there could be a lot of emails from students uncertain about which category to choose for parents jobs.
Having this confusion on the first page of the application form could be off-putting for students trying to apply, and offering them option to write their parents professions in a long text answer box may be better.

There are loads of options within 'Nurse' as a career option, and many of them overlap. Is there a way to streamline so we don't open ourselves up to loads of questions? I wouldn't even know what to put my Mum in! Also why do you have to be male to be a chief nurse?! Rebecca MC

It may be useful to ask students to enter their email twice to ensure they have submitted it correctly, as they often make spelling errors when entering their email address. This would help to avoid bounce backs when sending student comms.

Had a few issues when using my phone for Rebecca Test 6. Not necessarily related to the test profile but things I noticed.
Was a lot slower on my phone - on Rebecca Test 6 it showed 'submit form 1' after the first page for 30+ seconds before the form loaded.
Twice using my phone: the first sector preference on the 'let' recap' page didn't have anything ticked and I had to tick it again. The second preference was there though.
On Rebecca Test 6 - on emergency contact page, it wouldnt let me progress for a while because it said i had an invalid postcode, even though i tried with my own and the example post code. It eventually let me progress after i hit previous and next again.

When you enter grammar schools, you are taken to the rejection page which tells you we don't support students from private schools - think it would be better to rephrase this as it will open us up to questions from grammar school students as they don't go to private school.
