Nimeventer

A relatively small tool which checks for new content on:

and posts them on Discord / Telegram / IRC.

For example:

"New post by Timothee in Push/pop hints on/off not working?: @ElAfalw please always show a minimal reproducible example to help others. I've encountered ... (https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6954#43612)"

"New post on r/nim by unknown_r00t: Macros vs functions, see https://www.reddit.com/r/nim/comments/jg83c9/macros_vs_functions/"

nimeventer's Issues

feat(nimble): nimble url link to nimble

Actual Behavior:
Nimble package URL point to project URL

Example:

New Nimble package! config - A library for working with the CFG configuration format, see
https://docs.red-dove.com/cfg/index.html

Expected Behavior:
Nimble package URL point to nimble package URL

Example:

New Nimble package! config - A library for working with the CFG configuration format, see
https://nimble.directory/pkg/config

Additional Info:

Is feature request, please reject if don't make any sense.

Why:

  • Cohesion, same behavior of #1
  • Project URL may not be package project URL

Why not:

  • For most cases user really wants project URL

feat: add hash tags

Why: in some plaforms #hashtags create a link to search other contents with same hashtag
ie:

New #nimble package! urlon - URL Object Notation implemented in Nim, see

New #forum thread by Enthus1ast: Test for static in macro, see

New #reddit post on r/nim by yyoncho: Nimlangserver Announcement, see

bug: Reddit integration is down

Reddit's integration last message was in 2023/12/11.

While I'm almost sure is because of theirs change in policy for API.

I had to ask anyway. Technical issue or API policy change?

Anyway, thanks for all other integration ❤️

bug: reddit link don't point to reddit

Actual Behavior:
Reddit post direct to link URL

Example:

New post on r/nim by PMunch: Optimising for Humans - Nim presentation at FOSDEM '21, see https://fosdem.org/2021/schedule/event/nimdsl/

Expected Behavior:
Reddit post direct to reddit post URL

Example:

New post on r/nim by PMunch: Optimising for Humans - Nim presentation at FOSDEM '21, see https://www.reddit.com/r/nim/comments/lenlf3/optimising_for_humans_nim_presentation_at_fosdem/

Additional Info:
When reddit post where sent it could be in two types:

1 - Text where url point to itself
image

2 - Link where url point to link URL
