On first start, the latest macOS restore image is automatically downloaded from Apple servers. After installation is finished, you can start using the virtual machine by performing the initial operating system setup.

You can configure the following virtual machine parameters:

• RAM
• Screen size

Cannot find the assets of the VM

Hi,
I want to delete virtualOS, as it doesn't work anymore on my MacBook Air M1 2020 8gb
but even when I remove it, the image of the VM still present somewhere on the disk, and take a dedicated space for it

Unable to change disk storage

Whenever I try to change the disk storage from 60 GB, it displays in the VirtualOS settings as changed, but in the VM the storage is not changed.

I am currently running V1.3.1

where is the data stored ?

I had installed this app and I don't know what happened where this data stored and what happened in the background which is not good app, so now I want to delete everything this app download it.
may you show me where is this data stored because I searched everywhere and I couldn't find this data.

Sign in to iCloud fails

When signing into iCloud from System Preferences fails with Authentication failed. Seems like this is a problem with all VMs out there. Hope you can find a solution.

100% CPU usage when downloading restore image

I believe the updates of the download progress text are causing 100% CPU usage.

Cannot open menus during the download

While a restore image is being downloaded, when I try to open a menu, the menu opens briefly and then is closed automatically. Perhaps something related to SwiftUI updates of the download progress text?

See the VirtualOS.bundle, can't open or start it with VirtualOS. OSX Version 14. Maybe the container has changed.

A request / question about connecting external USB devices.

Are there plans and is there possibility with the existing code, to have the option to choose "do I want to connect to the VM or to the host computer" when some device is plugged? Just like on fusion or parallels?

Keyboard mapping issue

I own a French Apple Magic Keyboard with touch ID and number pad , not sure that's relevant, but anyways :

I cannot type characters like "@" that's on the upper left hand corner of the physical keyboard.

Storing Data on an External Drive

I'm running a 2021 MBA M1 8C 8GB with 256GB of storage
Would it be possible to store the files downloaded on an external drive? I don't have the capacity left to store them on my local drive.

Unknown error login ID Apple

Hi the service is fantastic💪. I only have a problem with using my apple id in virtual OS as I get an unknown error. I don't know if it's my problem or if it's a bug or if you just can't use the apple id in a virtual machine. I hope for an answer and thank you in advance

Support for downloading old macOS versions

It would be great if the app could support easily downloading old macOS versions.

Potential use cases:

• macOS developers can easily test their apps on older macOS versions.
• Users can continue using apps that only work on older macOS versions.

Photos app crashes when viewing pictures or video

I can't type the @ key using my machine's built-in keyboard. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem and if so, were they able to solve it?

I updated to version 1.1 and now get this error; I did not try to change the disk image size (yet). Hope I won't have lost everything in this drive!

launch at startup

I would like to start the virtual machine automatically when the host boots. This means, a) to start the virtualOS application, and b) to start the (preconfigured) macOS from it. Is this possible? Is this possible without modifying and rebuilding the app?

Can't update OS

I insatalled MacOS Monterey from UniversalMac_12.6_21G115_Restore.ipsw. Trying to updated to MacOS 12.6.4 (from the control panel fails). The only error present during the update is when the system reboots to contiue the update instead of rebooting the VM it stops it and prints the error message: "Internal Virtualization error. The virtual machine stopped unexpectedly."
