Authentic or Not

Authentic or Not is an educational cooking game for young children. It was created by Yiting Liu and Shannel Doshi for 2019 ITP Winter Show.

About

Living from overseas made us see the importance in educating people what authentic food really is. We created the game in a playful way to educate people two cuisines: one Chinese cuisine -- green pepper with pork, and one Indian cuisine -- Chicken Biryani since I am from Hunan province in China and Shannel is from Mumbai, India.

Setup

1. download P5.serialcontrol
2. download Arudino code in the folder and change the "portName" in views/sketch.js
3. open the demo link

Prerequisites

To make a good readme the following prerequisites are necessary:

1. VS Code
2. P5.serialcontrol
3. Arduino
4. knowledge of JS or p5.js

Installation

Clone the repo and follow the setup steps.

Deployment

This project is hosted on Github, deployed on Heroku.
