Here I am looking for how to get gitlab-runner working in alpine and the title was simply misleading and wasted my time. I'd appreciate if you updated the readme so the search result reflects that this is for inside docker...

Dockerfile for yobasystems/gitlab-runner:aarch64-helper-11-2?

I'm a huge fan of your gitlab runner images and how they're multi-arch. I noticed that you provide a docker image for all architectures for gitlab-runner, but not for yobasystems/gitlab-runner:aarch64-helper-11-2. Would you be able to provide the docker file for this? I'd be very grateful.

status=Error decoding json payload json: cannot unmarshal number into Go struct field JobResponse.id of type int

Observation

I was using the image on my RPI. The image does run and registration against gitlab works fine.

However when i started a test pipeline, the following error appears:

WARNING: Checking for jobs... failed
status=Error decoding json payload json: cannot unmarshal number 2638377850 into Go struct field JobResponse.id of type int

To be honest i am not too familiar with the gitlab runner yet. However in the official repository people seem to have already discussed this problem (https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-runner/-/issues/28151)

Solution

I just updated the Version of the runner from the current version (14.8.1) to 14.9.0 and rebuild the image. Afterwards i could run the runner without problems on an example pipeline.

gitlab runner on armv7

Hi if i start the image
i get the error
runner The requested image's platform (linux/arm64) does not match the detected host platform (linux/arm/v7) and no specific platform was requested

if i run yobasystems/gitlab-runner:16.4.0-armhf or the yobasystems/gitlab-runner:latest.

i Use a armV7 (32bit) System with docker "Docker version 20.10.21-ce"

So the doku https://github.com/yobasystems/gitlab-runner#%EF%B8%8F-architectures looks like the platfrom should be supported.
So ist armv7 is still suported?
