Issues while setting up local dev

Hey guys, so I tried to set up the project in my local machine but ran through series of errors. I've sent a PR fixing all the issue let me know what you guys think.

1. npm ERR! missing script: server

The dev section in package.json has a command npm run server but server script is not present.

Fix

I believe the script for dev is meant to be npm run server:dev instead.

2. nodemon: command not found

Nodemon wasn't listed in project dev dependency

Fix

Added nodemon to the dev dependecy

3. Updated README.md

Updated docs for necessary .env variables for initial project setup.

4. Added catch block to mongoose.connect promise

Easier for developer to debug the connectivity problem faced when setting up the project.

5. Minor update to MongoDB URI

So that developers can set their own full MongoDB uri to .env file
