About This Generator

This generator is a git project template generator for “Byte-Sized JavaScript” projects.

Installation and Usage

First, install Yeoman and generator-byte-sized-javascript using npm (we assume you have pre-installed node.js).

npm install -g yo
npm install -g generator-byte-sized-javascript

Then generate your new project:

yo byte-sized-javascript

update other jsbites project’s files

add missing files, update readmes etc to make them in sync with the templates that this generator has.

ensure that package.json changes at every commit.

install https://github.com/observing/pre-commit as a dev dependency.

On every commit it should ensure that package.json has also been modified.

Or it is better to create a tiny module that ensures that the package.json has been modified and committed. (it will run a git diff or something similar to ensure that the package.json is staged)

^ Then I can add it as a dev dependency and run it before running tests; or something.

install eslint, babil etc once the generation is done

Skip text files if they do not exist.

If the generator cannot read from a file, it should just raise a warning and skip it, instead of crashing.
