Public study locations in Ghent

BlokLocaties Op Kaart Met Aanduidende Pins

A useful map that lists all the public study locations in Ghent.

Data is managed in a separate project, Blokdata.

Development

You can easily run the site locally by spawning a simple static file server in the src directory. For example by using the following command, or by using any other one-liner from this big list.

(cd src/; python3 -m http.server)

Add CI for automatic deploy

Add cookie permissions

We should at least get consent for the Facebook share button.

If #34 is implemented, we don't need consent for Google Analytics, since we won't collect personal information in that case.

Anonymous IP addresses for Google Analytics

It would be better to enable anonymous IP address for Google Analytics.

Show location details on hover

Now you have always have to click, which we want to keep, but hovering is faster.

Add Vlerick logo

Add link to the deployment url

Show whether data is up to date

By for example putting a bright green square 'up to date for exam period ...' in the corner

Add retina support

Update to leaflet.js 1.0.0-rc1 or higher to enable retina support

Use markdown for "extra"

Now, we force HTML into this field, which is not clean. It would be better to use markdown for this.
