UBC Orbit ASPECTU Satellite - Central Data Handling

Central Data Handling for the UBC Orbit ASPECTU, a 3U Cubesat to be entered in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge.

Version 5 of the Trillium design

Trillium is a low cost alternative to radiation hardened microcontrollers through the use of triple redundant microcontrollers.

The design is centered around three STM32H743 microcontrollers, that continuously compare data during runtime to act in a majority voting format. This allows errors to be detected and reverted. This triple redundancy allows up to 2 MCUs to fail and operation to continue.

The design includes:

• 3 x STM32H743 Microcontrollers on a shared SPI bus
• 4Mb MRAM to procide non-volatile system memory
• 3 x eFuses to monitor and control power to each MCU
• CAN-FD control to allow synchronous data reception and transmission between all three MCUs
• PC/104 Form Factor
