Prerequisites

  • Granted HomeBrew and homebrew-php are installed, execute: brew install codeception
  • Selenium: brew install selenium-server-standalone and optionally brew install chromedriver if you want to test with Google Chrome
  • PhantomJS: brew install phantomjs

Configuration

  • PhantomJS driver is a headless browser which means it's not suitable for browser environments like chrome or firefox
  • Website URL to tests against is defined in acceptance.suite.yml

Running tests

  • Execute selenium-server -p 4444 or phantomjs --webdriver=4444 --ignore-ssl-errors=true in a separate terminal tab
  • Then execute codecept run acceptance --steps

See Running Tests for detailed info

magento-codeception's Issues

CheckoutCest doesn't work for Magento 1.9.1.1

I tired to run the tests from CheckoutCest.php, but the tests have filed, because Magento 1.9.1.1 has different html structure of the older Magento versions.

We can try 2 solutions:

Support both Magento 1.7 and 1.9

Due to different themes (selectors) and sample data it's needed to implement different tests either by groups or by environments

Use more reliable way instead of "$I->wait(7)"

Hello @Zifius

I noticed that in the bottom of CheckoutCest::testOnePageCheckout() you are using $I->wait(7) after the "Place Order" button is pressed. I don't think that this is the most reliable way, because the waiting time may vary depending on many factors.

Do you think that more reliable solution can be used?
