WhatsApp Web To Go

Mobile Client for WhatsApp Web.

This app lets you access WhatsApp Web on your mobile phone or tablet. It has full support for sending audio and pictures/video.

You can also get the latest version from the releases tab. Please note that the GitHub and F-Droid versions are not compatible, as they are signed differently.

Free and without ads.

If you have problems, just send a mail or create a GitHub issue.

This was initially a proof of concept to try some things with the Android WebView. The app design is bad; I'll refactor it some time, maybe.

This app is in no way affiliated with WhatsApp Inc. The rights for WhatsApp and WhatsApp Web belong to WhatsApp Inc. This app is a private project to enable the use of WhatsApp Web on Android devices.

Scrolling chats does not work on android 6 phones

On android 6 phones, the chat view on the left cannot be scrolled

Unable to set a WhatsApp status

Is there a way to set my WhatsApp Status with any kind of text or media? I can set it with my original WhatsApp app but I can't set it with this great WhatsAppWebToGo App.

Will it be able in the future? This would be great :).

Multi Device beta not working with business account

Hi, thank you for wonderful app!

However, I tried it with whatsapp multi device, seems like it doesn't support it right now?

Possible to get notifications?

Would it be possible to receive notifications while the app is in the background? I know the web app issues web notifications, so maybe it could be possible to intercept those.

Chat pictures minimize when opening them

When I tap on a picture in a conversation, instead of displaying in full size it shrinks becoming quite difficult to see. Same happens for videos

Any chance of a Wear OS version?

We used to be able to at least send new WA messages from stretch via Google Assistant, but like all things Google Assistant on Wear OS this doesn't work anymore and Google is refusing to react to this. Anyway, we can still reply to messages but we could never send or receive straight audio messages or see pictures (well, sometimes the later works).

So, there would certainly be an audience for the web client working as an app on the watch.

Unable to log into WhatsApp Beta account

Thanks for this great app

I am unable to log into from a Beta account with the new multi-device support enabled.

When I scan the barcode it immediately switches to the reloading circle and the primary phone says scan barcode again.

Any help?

Mobile push notifications

Make it possible to get mobile push notifications like you get desktop notifications on web via pc. Sorry if this already exist. I'm new here.

Resizable Running Activity

It'd be great if resizing the app in multi-app view would not restart the app everytime. Currently, it resizes but refreshes the content. I think this might be fixed with a few flags on the activity.

No builds apart of Android Q

Currently i have a Xiaomi Redmi 3 running on Android 5.1.1 and i got ver. 1.0.1 running but with the white screen bug. Got here thanks the github link, but none of the releases prior to that version works to me. The Play Store site is down, and there're no readme for building the app by myself (idk enough :c)

Downloading media not working

Shows that the media has been downloaded but unable to locate it on the device. Tried even after manually providing storage permission.

Maybe publish to Play Store or any other stores?

Maybe you can publish it to Play Store, but may you will not because it costs money. But maybe you can publish it then to other stores. Like the Samsung Galaxy Store, where you can publish apps free. Or Apkpure or any other APK site's.

Logging in

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I don't know how to login. There's a QR code I would normally scan with my phone, but the QR code is already on my phone screen.

App opens web page in browser instead

Hi,

first of all big thanks for creating this awesome app!

There is a single problem for me that is a bit annoying: Sometimes when I open the app a browser window is opened instead and directs me to the WhatsApp Web page. When I then close the browser and open the app again it only shows a blank screen and doesn't load. I have to force stop it and restart the application in order for it to work again.

Any idea what the problem could be? I'm using the app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+.

App dosen't load QR Code screen

I've checked your source code it doesn't work, first time only it showing the QR code screen then always it showing the blank screen. After debugging the code I found that second time its loading https://www.whatsapp.com instead of https://web.whatsapp.com. Please fix it as soon as possible.

How not to block keyboard

App doesn't load setup screen on low-end Android 5.1 device

I own a BRONDI smartphone (branded chinese OEM smartphone) that I'd like to use as a distraction free device with only WhatsApp Web to Go and a few other apps from F-Droid.

Problem is that the app is stuck on the first loading screen. The setup with the QR Code never appears. I tried version 1.6.4 up to 1.7.1

Here are the specs from the BRONDI smartphone:
CPU: Mediatek MT6580M
Cortex-A7
RAM: 512MB
OS: Android 5.1

I also tried on another Android 5.1 device (Huawei GR3) and it works. There's any log file that I can attach?

Remove "Your Battery Status is Low" notification

I have WhatsApp on the same phone on another account and WWTG always shows me the above notification.
Maybe it's just my case, but if more are affected you might want to fix that.

Publish on f-droid?

Would you publish it on f-droid? AFAIK he guys at f-droid take care of everything, the devs of the app just have to assist them if something is not right with the build or if some non-free dependencies have to be replace. Don't know if you might have to rename it though (whatsapp must be registered?) but i think it is worth.

Usage without having the app installed on a phone

I realize this is not a trivial feature request, but it would be cool if you could use this app without having whatsapp installed on any phone.
For example by having whatsapp run inside of an emulator on a server. Then we'd just have to send the QR code to that server and pass it to whatsapp through a fake camera interface. Monkeyrunner could help opening the menu in Whatsapp.
