The reason this happens is because it was accessing it by going to "cs.uml.edu/alincoln/roots/"
Instead "weblab.cs.uml.edu/alincoln/roots/" should be accessed.

The main CS server does not have PHP enabled. According to Mike McGinty that's because there are several security holes on many of the professor's CS pages and adding PHP to the CS server would open those holes.

So since PHP is not enabled, it gets interpreted as plaintext on an HTML page, which then sees the window.location='roots.html'; and unconditionally redirects.
